Hana leaned against the blue chair, watching her children sleep. The blue chair was damaged. Part of one of the legs was coming off, and the paint was flaky. Yuki had crunched on the back of it, and it creaked.
"Every apartment is like its own little world inside, some familys have money...some don't" Hana recalled the gentle words of Ookami, her beloved. Tears sprung to her eyes. "No" she thought, and smiled, laying down besides Ame, who reached sleepily out and took hold of her hair by his tiny fingers. Ame was now two weeks old, and Yuki was one and a half.
Hana slid into a deep dream. A cat and a fox stood together. They both had a new born in their mouths. They both dropped them at Hanna's feet and walked away.
Suddenly a wail pulled her out of her dream. Yuki was wailing fit to burst and had rolled into the kitchen somehow. "Yuki" Hana cried exasperatedly. She picked the infant up and rubbed her back until she quieted down a bit.
She sighed a few hours later when Yuki was messily having breakfast and Ame was being breast fed. What had her dream meant.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Hana groaned and rubbed her forehead. Now of all times?! She detached Ame, who sniveled, and went to the door. No one was there. She was about to walk out to see if anyone was playing a trick on her, and her foot hit a box. Then she noticed, walking away in the distance, was a fox, a dark brown cat by its side.
Hana breathed out, and picked up the box, surprised by its weight.
She took it inside and opened it. She couldn't believe what she saw.
