Marinette sighed, blindly reaching in her locker for some of her textbooks. Today had been an unnaturally lame day; her shoe kept getting untied, she forgot to do her math homework, and worst of all, her boyfriend/partner-in-crime-fighting was on a dumb modeling tour to Berlin and wouldn't be back till this Saturday. It was Tuesday. They all said their goodbyes last night on what could loosely be called a 'patrol'.

Marinette realized that on top of the pile of books was a piece of pastel pink paper. As much as she loved pink, all of her notebook paper was generic white.

Wiping her eyes of any remaining sleep, she grabbed the paper.

She immediately recognized the handwriting as Adrien's, and a warm flutter filled her chest. Double checked to make sure no one was within 'reading-over-your-shoulder' distance, and started to read the note.

My Dearest Marinette,

Unfortunately, I will not see you again until Saturday, but no length of time or distance can keep my heart away from you, whether you want it or not. I promise that the moment I return, your shining face will be the first I plan on seeing. I have left plenty of notes to supply for my lost, of course. One in each book and others in as many places as I can. I could never find enough paper to fill with the words of how I love you. I could write a million books, and I would still be unfinished. So let's home my notes give you a pretty good summary.

Your favorite Cat.

Marinette sighed, grinning to herself. She held the paper to her chest, noting the light tint of fancy cologne. He sure was cheesy. She looked at the rest of her books in her locker, noting the pink paper sticking out of each one.

Carefully, she folded the paper up and slid it in her backpack to make sure it wasn't crumpled. Suddenly, she was looking forward to the next few classes.
