Erase You

Kendall thought he was living in the perfect relationship. He thought he had the perfect job, perfect family and perfect girlfriend. He thought he had it all, and he was content with that. Until one of those things turned around and broke his heart. The girlfriend he loved with all his heart and thought was perfect in every way possible, decided it would be okay to 'see other people'; while she was still dating Kendall.

The loud clap of thunder woke Kendall up from his sleep. Not like he could get much anyway; his mind kept going back to thoughts of her. He was confused; he thought he did something wrong. The tears began to trickle down his face and he continued to think about what he could have done wrong. Was it because of my job, or because of the guys?, he would constantly ask himself. Carlos, Logan and James all told Kendall to watch out for her; that they knew she would be trouble. But Kendall didn't listen. He thought he could change her around and make her a better person. Now Kendall just felt stupid for thinking that he could actually change someone. He should have known that she would still be the same person she always was. The guys didn't have to Kendall that they were right all along; he figured that out on his own. The tears fell harder as Kendall walked down the hallway and into the kitchen. His alarm clock went off and made Kendall fall to his knees. It was the song he had dedicated to her; to their relationship. The song that will forever cause the biggest heartache Kendall's ever experienced. He managed to get up off the floor, grabbing the alarm clock and slamming it to the ground. Kendall made his way to the couch, burying himself under blankets and pillows, so his sobs and tears would be soaked up. Just when he finally calmed down, there was a knock at the door. Kendall already knew who it was, so he didn't bother getting up. In walked Carlos, Logan and James. Kendall looked up at his best friends, and then the tears were back. Carlos rushed over to Kendall's side, taking him in his embrace and letting him cry on his shoulder. Kendall welcomed Carlos' embrace; he was always there for when Kendall needed to just let things out. He wiped the tears away and looked and Logan and James, who were now sitting next to him on the other side of the couch. "You okay Kendall?" James asked, smiling weakly at him. He knew the guys didn't like seeing him hurt like this; it killed them inside knowing someone could hurt Kendall like this. "I-I'll be fine.." Kendall murmured through sniffles. "C'mon bud, it's time to forget her. She wasn't worth it, not if she's making you feel like this. You don't deserve to be like this. We miss you Kendall. We miss all of hanging out, acting like dumbasses and laughing about the stupid shit. We haven't seen you crack a smile in weeks. It's time to move on," Logan said to Kendall, patting his leg. Kendall sighed, looking at his three best friends. They were right. It was time. Kendall got up from his couch, bringing all four of them into a hug. Through all the tear-filled and sleepless nights, they were there. "So how about a movie? My treat," Kendall said, finally cracking a smile the guys haven't seen in forever. They all agreed, seeing as Kendall was back his normal self.

The clouds above Kendall's head had finally stopped raining. The sunshine was here to stay.
