Hello! Just want to apologise for completely abandoning my other one.. it's just i feel the actual storyline has gone too far for me to make mine work!:( so instead i wrote this crappy little one shot which yeah, is the reunion that holby need to write soon, and what a perfect opportunity.. sorry Tara! ;') but anyways, enjoy xx

The sweet sound of music filled the church. Despite being foreign and therefore not understandable to most, they could all tell it was a happy song, or at least mean't to be happy. Ironic really, considering the people there, listening to it, were not happy at all. Infact, just as the ceremony was about to start, and the attendants took their seats, the sound of weeping could be heard. The huge oak door creaked as a late guest arrived. A few turned round to discover who it was. It was Jonny, closely followed by Mo, both of whom had been tied up in a transplant procedure that morning, but miraculously had made it to the church just before it was too late. He glanced around the almost full church to try and find any spare seats. Sure enough he could see a free space next to Jac, who was sat on the second row near the end. She caught his gaze and indicated with her head that he should come sit next to her. He rushed over, sat down, smiled gratefully and then was suddenly budged into her as Mo squeezed herself on the end and then it all fell silent.

When it was all over the guests filed out of the church to congregate outside. That was it. No one had spoken since it started, apart from the speakers, and most remained teary-eyed. Outside, the sun was high and the sky was beautiful vibrant shade of blue. It was a lovely day, not that most people had noticed on their journey back to the car park. Jonny had walked out with Jac but neither had said a word to each other, neither really knew what to say, until Jonny decided to brave breaking the silence.

"I thought it was very kind of you to say that about Tara" he said.

"it was the least she deserved, and it was all true. No one worked harder and annoyed me more than she did"

"Ever the charmer you" he joked.

"she was a good kid"

"aw, Jac, look.." he was cut off.

"and i was horrible to her, just like i am to everyone really, except this time, i'm never going to get the chance to put it right"

"She knew there was more to you than that"

"but is there though? do you have any idea what it feels like to realise you won't be able to just say sorry to someone?"

There was an awkward pause as Jonny drew a long breath.

"Yes, i do actually, and i couldn't bare for it to happen again" he confessed.

She looked up at him sadly.

"especially not to someone i really, really care about" he added, "i kept thinking, imagining, what if i was Ollie. If that was me in there watching my newly wedded wife having an operation like that, knowing everything was all over and we'd never get the future we dreamed of. It's a sad, absolutely horrible thought and you know what? It terrified me."

"It scared me too"

"Did it?"

she nodded, "a second chance is a blessing right?" she added.

"Yeah but Jac, this isn't a second chance, it's been a second, a third, it's tiring.. i'm exhausted from trying"

"so you just want to forgive and be friends?"

"no"

"well what do you want?"

"i don't know, i really don't, but i can't take this anymore.."

"me neither, because you're never going to go away are you?"

"maybe one day, when there's nothing left for me here"

"don't go soon, will you"

"i wont, but it's down to you"

"me?"

"I just want you to say you'll try"

"more than anything, but if you're not with me on this one.."

He considered it for a moment, looking intently at her, wondering if he actually had any options or not.. probably not.

"Stay" he whispered.
