My Dramione FanFiction- I could do with some feedback! xD
From the first moment he saw her, he knew she was the one. Her frizzy brown hair perfectly framed her milky-white face. Her lips were perfectly formed, her eyes were a chestnut brown and Draco couldn't keep his eyes off her.
His disappointment was near impossible to conceal as he watched the Sorting Hat touch her head, and yell out into the silent hall, "Gryffindor!". He felt crushed. Gryffindors and Slytherins were traditionally enemies, always were, always would be. How could this ever work? He watched her sit down with Harry Potter and the Weasley boy, and grimaced. He had tried to befriend them and failed, he would just have to talk to her. He tried to enjoy the feast and laugh with his new friends but it was hard, very hard.
He couldn't do it. How could he talk to her? She was always surrounded by friends! And what would his father say? As he watched, she threw her head back laughing, face lighting up and hair tumbling backwards over her shoulders. He had to do it. But not now, later he would. Later he would for sure.
4 years had passed since he had made that promise to himself, and it was only now that he was fulfilling it. She was sat on the library on her own, in the 4 years that had passed she had outgrown her chubby, flushed cheeks, her puppy fat and slightly wonky teeth. She was now a 15-year-old girl, perfect in every single way, at least through his eyes anyway. He breathed healthily and whispered to himself, "Now's your chance!" His legs moved forward jerkily, of their own accord. Soon, he had reached her table, it was stacked with books and she was scribbling furiously. She looked up, surprised.
"Oh hi Draco." She said, looking back down at her books distracted, "What is it that you want then?" He cleared his throat several times before managing to get out, "To talk." He sat down opposite her and looked at his hands.
"Um… Hermione… would you- would you maybe go to Hogsmeade with me this weekend?" he peered up at her and added quickly, "Only if you want to of course." Inwardly he cursed himself, how had that slipped out?! She looked at him strangely and eventually asked, "What brought this on?"
"Well… Okay. I'll just tell you, I don't want to hide my feelings anymore. Hermione, I've liked you for ages now, actually since the first year. I've just been afraid to tell you. I'm so sorry-" She held up a hand to silence him.
"Of course I'll come. I'd love to. I think that- I think that would be really great." She smiled at him and he got up.
"I'll see you there then."
"Yeah." He walked slowly out of the library, grinning to himself. Maybe this could work after all…
THE END.
