Chapter 1: Dots in the Distance

It was an especially rainy day; the clouds had taken over the sky completely. In the distance Rochelle could hear a Boomer making gross, vomiting sounds. But, she could hear something worse, it was stupid laughing. "A Jockey?" Rochelle took a look out the window, there was no Jockey. "Then what was that? Jockey's aren't that hard to spot are they? The sounds are pretty close," she picked up her rifle and loaded it with ammo, then walked out the door. A strong wind blew her coat away, which annoyed her because it was her only one. Rochelle just noticed a tiny dot of yellow on a long path heading towards the house she was staying in. The more she looked into the dark early morning, the more she got used to the dark and began to see some more dots, more darker then the bright yellow one.

Eventually, they were no longer dots, but people in the distance, Rochelle especially noticed the one with the bright yellow hair. "Hey! Do you know where this is? Stop staring and tell us? Are you foreign?! Well you are bl-" Rochelle raced towards the annoying blonde guy and kicked him so he went flying across the sky and dropped onto the hard ground. Then he struggled back up. "Ha, if you think that's gonna knock me out then you're so wrong, I've dealt with worse!" He then gave a quick glare at a girl with long grey hair with a black hair band and looked back at Rochelle. "So anyway-"

"Do you know if we can stay in your house for a bit?" piped in a young looking girl clutching a wooden star.

"Hold on, how'd you survive this long without any weapons?"

"We had Tomoyo and Sunohara, Tomoyo was the fighter and Sunohara was the bait, though we could have just made him annoy the zombie guys to death," said a tired looking teenager. "So do you think we could stay here then?" "I guess so, but we don't take people who can't fight for their own life, so, do you have confidence?"

"YOU BET!" the rest shouted.
