What Lies Ahead
By SMYGO4EVA
The Wrecker was undone.
Duststorm was picked and prodded at Wheeljack: entendre of words, long lingering looks, and finally her drugging combat moves. Each foray was probing for a weakness—an opening—the faintest hint of thread on which to seize.
Eventually Wheeljack tired of the thrust and parry. On a clammy summer's night upon Earth, which from one fight left them short of breath, he granted her access. "You still have a lot to learn, Duststorm."
She stilled. Not in wonderment, nor pleasure, nor contentment. There was just a gleam of triumph in her eyes. "Oh."
With one swift tug he was unraveled.
And yet he couldn't bring himself to feel regret.
It was the ultimate deception, in what lay ahead.
