A/N: This was a drabble request I got from Tumblr. I hope you like it!
Finally, the day he had been long awaiting. Everything was falling into place now and the soon-to-be King couldn't be happier. Hans looked into the full-length mirror and straightened his jacket. He'd have to look nice for his wedding to Princess Anna, of course.
The plan had played out beautifully. Although, at first, her sister hadn't blessed their marriage, Hans ultimately had gotten his way with the former Queen. Her death had not been a bloody death, thankfully. The Prince of the Southern Isles had poisoned her during the end of his courtship with Anna, and Elsa had died almost instantly. Of course, Anna had been devastated over the death of her beloved sister, but she found solace in the killer.
"Let them know that I'm ready," The redhead ordered Kai, one of Arendelle's most faithful and oldest servants.
Once Kai had nodded and left the room, Hans took one more look into the mirror. He ran a hand carefully over his hair and smiled menacingly at his reflection. Anna would surely be in for a surprise tonight.
He then left the room and made his way down the hall to the chapel where the marriage ceremony was being held. Once he entered the chapel, he took his place at the right of the altar, ready to just get the wedding over and done with. He had better thing to do, such as be crowned king.
A slight pang went through his chest, and he tried to shake it off. No, he couldn't feel bad about his plan now. He contemplated for a moment before coming to the conclusion that it was not remorse as he had first suspected. It was a pang of anticipation. For being King? Yes, possibly. But he found himself wondering what Anna would look like coming down the aisle.
The soon-to-be King had to remind himself what he was there for. He wasn't there to fall in love with the young girl. His sole purpose was to marry her, have a few heirs, and then kill her like he killed her sister. There was no room in his heart for her; he had decided that long ago.
Finally the music began to play and he knew that soon Anna would join him at the altar. He straightened out his coat sleeves once more before turning around, ready to see his bride-to-be.
Anna came through the doors in a flurry of white. She was accompanied by one of her cousins from a neighbouring kingdom that Hans hadn't even bothered meeting yet. It was Anna that caught his eye. She was dressed in a beautifully pure white gown, a beaded train that reached roughly ten feet behind her, and a veil that covered her light blue eyes.
Hans found himself standing up straighter, a smile gracing his lips as she moved closer. Once she was in reach, her cousin handed off her hand to the Prince and he gave her a smile.
"Are you as nervous as I am?" Anna whispered over to him, tears glistening in her eyes.
He didn't answer her, though. All he did was rub the back of her hand and give her a look that seemed as though he understood how she was feeling. The young princess seemed to accept that as an answer and smiled back at him, a small tear falling from her eye.
They said their vows, and before he knew it, it was time for the kiss that would forever seal their marriage. He took Anna's face in his hands and pulled her in, putting his lips to her's tenderly. This was it. He could finally be crowned King and everything would fall into place. It was then that he knew he had finally won.
