Title: Worthy
Summary: She will not make this easy for him.
Characters: Minako X Kunzite
Author Notes: So I wanted to write a Mina/Kunzite and it had originally been a lot longer, but I believe this is much more complete in a smaller context.
Worthy
It was not enough. He had been her greatest weakness and she was tired of it. She had forgiven him so quickly, had been so eager to fall into his arms and pretend as if he was not the one who had ended her. His whole body had radiated confidence and a power he had no right to have, and his eyes held such a simple touch of longing and regret that she was hard pressed to forgive him.
But it was not enough.
He had asked to be allowed to stay close to her, and she had not rejected him.
Now, three months after she has led him back into her life he had not changed. He was still the cold, calculating man she had met before she had began in this life. He did not touch her, did not change their simple friendship into something more, did not try to resume the unyielding love they had before this. She wanted to feel him like she had before, when his lips had been the sweetest thing she had felt and her body underneath his had been like a long drink of water to a man who has never had a drink, soft and cold, flow down his burning throat
Minako wanted to be wanted.
So now he calls and she doesn't pick up, he comes by and she pretends she isn't home, he goes to the shrine and Rei warns him to leave until he has figured it out for himself. "You know her," Rei had said as she shoved him out to the temple steps.
And she misses him, throbs and swells for him, but she will not make this easy for him.
If he wanted the Goddess of Love he was going to have to work for it.
