Dedicated to sir Robin Hood of Locksley, he shall be missed.
A father, a thief, a lover, a friend. Not your typical Prince, knight, or storybook hero - our hearts were crushed when he was struck down, in fear for his queen. He had one creed, he had one way. Give all for his loved ones so they would be freed. Freed from the chains of cruel fate that became of him. The pointy tipped arrow, his weapon of choice... Laid on his coffin when he lost his own voice- mind and body all set to rest. His son cried, his daughter babbled, the mother baffled, while part of the queen died with him as well. Her love, her savior, her future was gone in a flash right before her eyes. This has to be karma... She thought aloud - as she shut her eyes tight in fear of herself, clinging to her sister for the courage, and to be proud of what he had done. Sacrifice was one thing, but she knew he was the one thing keeping her sane. First Daniel and now this? Her rage started to boil and she started to wish she could've slain hades herself and had some fun. But then... Everyone would turn their backs and run, in fear that the evil queen would come back to play. Her son, her new friends, she couldn't lose them all like this- so she decided to keep it bottled up inside. She cried herself to sleep that night, wishing that pair of strong arms was still around her. But when she saw that pirate, something snapped. That undeserving sap? In exchange for his life?! She clenched her fists and bit her tongue, only giving a second thought for him. He wouldn't want to see all her work go to waste, so she made her meetings with blondie and her pirate quick and chaste. She stormed away, and consoled the queen inside that wanted dearly to be free once again. Once upon a time... Back then, she would MAKE things go her way, but no matter how hard she tried there was always some force of 'goodness' out to stop her. She gagged and sneered at the thoughts of her past. She sat down quietly and these thoughts vanished, never to last. She was 'good' now. Not even close to a hero, but she would hang on. Only for him... For her thief, for her 'zero'. Through the good, and through the ugly, he saw the light in her each time. She had a chance, long ago... But she wouldn't give in- and lost that fight- at the tavern so long ago. True love may be the most powerful... But a broken heart is by far the most painful. People change at the snap of a finger, and hope and pray that these sides don't linger. Once upon a time, she had done such evil, caused much pain... And it was all coming back to haunt her. Once upon a time, she had some innocence to spare. Once upon a time, she was in love- only to lose both, to such a cruel cruel world.
