Contrary to what anyone who knows her would expect, Jade West is not an angry drunk.

In fact - when she lets herself actually get drunk enough that she forgets to act angry - well, she usually ends up like this, leaning half on Beck, almost giggling. Cat - who had a lot less than the two of them, who needs a lot less than the two of them - is moving in slow circles (that's not going to end well but at least they're outside) arms outstretched, singing a song to the moon - he doesn't know the words, but Jade apparently does, and she unsteadily crosses the decorative brick path (getting much too close to his parents' house for his personal comfort but these girls sacrifice that all the time) to wrap her arms (yes, she's even non-possessively touchy-feely when she's liquored up enough - and when it's just the three of them, that's important too) around Cat's waist from behind and sing the last few lines with her.

He's content to just watch them for a few minutes, he's an artist and he likes having the rare chance to appreciate the contrast in them, but Cat's only still and silent for so long before she gestures him over, bubbling up like she just remembered a very important secret.

When he gets close enough, she even makes him lean in so she can whisper it in his ear, and she leans up a bit too - awkwardly, as Jade's still attached to her back,

"Beck, Beck! do you know what time it is?"

She doesn't wait for a answer, just keeps talking, "It's the middle of the night," she's pointing at something that would probably clarify that statement a little but he's watching Jade half smile, eyes half closed, and whisper into the redhead's ear, "Come on, KittyCat. Time for bed."

He'll have to remember to add "KittyCat" to the things Jade only does or says when drunk list.

He should probably remember to not to get so lost in his own head when he's drunk, too, because they're steps ahead of him and Jade's explaining that beds aren't just for sleeping, and he needs to be a part of that conversation. For the good of everyone involved.

The list can wait until the morning.
