It wasn't worth it.

"Go, go ahead"

"What are you doing out here Scorpius?"

"I'm coming to talk to you about your stupid decision"

"It's not stupid Scorpius, I can't cope anymore, no gives a shit"

"Oh, woe is me. I'm Albus Severus Potter, and my life is bloody awful. Random people in the street love me, people want to talk to me, want to shake my hand. I have two amazing parents who dote on me, a huge family who love me, a sister who admires me, a cousin who adores me and a best friend who depends and relies on me."

A gentle wind blew, but it was enough to make the boys shiver.

"You don't understand"

"What don't I understand Albus? You're the reason I'm here, you're the reason Rose has friends, you can calm Ron down, even before Hermione gets there, you're smart and funny and girls fall at your feet, you want to throw that all away? Are you stupid!"

"I-I..."

"Whatever Albus, this is your choice. It's cold out here, I'm going to bed. But remember Albus, we miss you when you go to the toilet... and you're loved by a huge number of people, tell me that's not worth it."

Scorpius stood up from his spot on the roof and looked over to where Albus was standing, feet on the edge. He shook his head and climbed through the window.

Lying in bed, Scorpius waited and listened. He felt horrible for leaving his friend out there, but what could he do? He was tempted to go and wake up his parents or Rose, and tell them where Albus was.

Hearing the roof creak, Scorpius felt the tears fall down his cheeks, certain that his friend had jumped.

It seemed like hours, but in reality it was minutes when he heard the voice and seen the room fill with light. He lay still, pretending to be asleep. Suddenly chilly breeze hit Scorpius, but it was gone as quick as it came.

The blonde turned round to face his green-eyed friend. Albus wiped away Scorpius' tears with the pad of his thumb.

"It wasn't worth it."

"I know" whispered Scorpius.

"You're the reason I was up there, I love you."

"I know, Al."

Albus was now crying.

"No you don't, I love you Scorpius, but more than a friend."

Scorpius pulled Albus close, and wiped the tears from his eyes, "I know" he whispered again.

"Night Scor."

"Night Al."

A few minutes past, and the blonde looked down to his friend, taking in his peaceful face, his messy black hair and his body enclosed his Scorpius' arms.

"I love you too Albus, more than a friend."

Albus snuggled closer to Scorpius heat, pressing himself to the other boy's body; Scorpius tightened his grip around Albus in response.

Before letting his head fall to the pillow, he whispered to Albus, "We were just getting air, if they ask tomorrow, we were just getting air."

Before finally letting sleep capture his mind, Scorpius placed a soft, lingering kiss and Albus' forehead.

The end.

Hey, thanks for reading. Unfortunately I don't own Harry Potter.

I'm not sure about this fic, but it only took me about twenty minutes to write so... please, let me know what you think. R&R x
