Life in Equestria was bleak. The sun no longer shone, hidden behind dark clouds. The ground was cracked and cold. Fillies no longer played in yards and streets, but worked in factories or fought on the battlefield. Celestia was no longer princess. The enemy stripped her of her crown and glory by chaining her to a rotting piece of wood for everyone in the square to see. She no longer had the immense power she once had, wasted away by fighting for months with no end. She hung there thinking about her old apprentice and the pony's friends. The tiny purple pony, beaten and bloody, had refused to surrender, to the very end. Celestia remembered the pony's friends, huddled around the battered purple lump, crying for their dead friend, cursing the world.
Celestia's thoughts were shattered as a cannon ball roared through the sky. "Fuck you Celestia!" Rainbow Dash screamed to the sky as she lit another cannon. "This one's for Twilight!" The ball destroyed a small, wooden shack. Celestia noticed the crack in her voice as she said this, still grieving for her dead friend, after all this time. "Well… look who's here, it's Rainbow Dash. Come to drain me of more power?" Celestia spat, hoarse from the gunpowder and dust in the air. "No." Dash slowly trotted to the fallen princess. "You know Twilight only started the rebellion because you killed Spike!" Her eyes accused Celestia, piercing her, messing with her mind. Celestia shook her head as if to shake away the craziness she felt. "He was a danger to everypony out there! He went mad and sided with Discord! Both of them had to be stopped and they were!" She stretched the syllables of the last word for emphasis, that they were both stopped.
"You scum," Fluttershy whispered as she slowly crept out of the bushes, dressed in camouflage. The rest of the rogue ponies stepped out of the bushes behind her, wearing nothing but cracked helmets and gun holsters.
"We loved you." Rarity spoke softly as she turned to her friends. Applejack whispered something in her ear and the unicorn nodded. "We will get you." She said simply. "But, we want to see you suffer. You hurt my friend and my love." Celestia noticed the bulge in Rarity's belly as she said this. Rarity followed Celestia's eyes. "Yes, that's right. I'm pregnant! You killed my husband!" Rarity lashed out as she sat in tears as Pinkie Pie comforted her slowly. "I want Spike and Twilight back!" The black lines on her cheeks smeared as the tears dripped slowly. Her horn glowed purple and shot out magic, striking Celestia.
Celestia cried out in pain as the magic struck her. "Shit!" She never should have trusted them, 'they're just kids.' She thought they would make a difference, kids. Her rainbow hair stuck to her pale, sweaty face. She panted harshly, her knees shaking. "You fucking little colts know nothing." Her eyes widened as she said this. Her darker side had come out months ago but she was still getting used to it. 'If only Luna were here, she'd put a stop to this.' Luna. Celestia mouthed the word as if it were foreign to her.
Celestia writhed as Rarity shot her with another ball of magic. "Damn you!" She gritted her teeth and stuck her hoof into the cold ground. She cried out in pain as yet another sphere of pain burned her, inside and out. Suddenly, Rarity let out a bone-chilling scream. Tears flowed down her cheeks, she stomped the ground hard. Ball after ball of magic shot out of Rarity's horn, showering Celestia, charring her skin, bruising her body.
Fluttershy tackled Rarity, keeping her from using up all of her magic. Suddenly, a loud rumble thundered close. A flash of light shot out of the gray sky, blinding everyone within reach. Rarity heard Celestia say something she never wanted to hear.
"Luna?"
