LAYLA'S DIARY *TOP SECRET*
November 9th, 2072
Dear Diary,
Today was my first day at my new school, and I haven't made the best first impression. I accidentally tripped this girl at lunch, which made her to drop her lunch. I still feel horrible! Later in math class, I spilled my whole water bottle on this CUTE boy's textbook. Other than that... my day was okay. All of my teachers are nice, except for my history teacher. He's so weird! He barely speaks and he always looks terrified. I'm going to bed now, but I feel really on edge for some reason. Whatever, I'll just sleep it off. Goodnight diary!

Walking to school. I see this figure go behind a donut shop. "HELP!" came from behind the building. "HELP! PLEASE!" I have to help whoever that is. I walk behind the building to find just a big red flower. Where did that person go? Is there a tiny person on the flower? I look closer at the flower. All of a sudden, the flower pulls me underground, and now I'm in a large dim-lit cave. "Welcome, Layla. My name is Pleoh. I will be helping you on your mission." What mission? I don't have a mission. *WHOOSH* a bright purple light shines for a few seconds. "You're welcome, Layla. Now, be careful." Why should I be thankful? Why should I be careful? I popped back up to the surface. I looked up to the sky to see the number "1/10".

*beep beep beep* I heard my alarm go off. I opened my eyes. That dream felt super real. What did it mean? Who is Pleoh? I've never even heard that name before. Whatever, I'll just move on. I got dressed, then my mom came in the room. "Breakfast is ready!" she said. I looked at her. Above her head, there was a number that showed "1/10". Wait, I'm still dreaming! I need to wake up already. I pinched myself, but I didn't wake up.
Layla: What is that?
Mom: What is what?
Layla: That number above your head.
Mom: Sweetie, I don't have a number above my head. You're just tired.
Layla: Okay...
I went downstairs with mom to eat breakfast. Then my little brother, Alex comes in. He has a number above his head as well. This one says 2/10. What can this mean?
Layla: See?! There's a number above Alex's head also!
Mom: Sweetie, I think you might be seeing things. There are no numbers.
Alex: There's a number on my head? Why?
Mom: No Alex, there isn't. Layla is just tired.
