So I have been absolutely obsessed over Sailor Moon Crystal and it has been giving me all the feels, particularly with the Senshi x Generals pairings. And then episode 12 happened and ripped my heart into a million, tiny pieces. So what do I do? Of course I write to make it even more heartbreaking. Of course, spoilers ahead if you haven't seen episode 12 yet. And if you're a fan of the Venus x Kunzite pairing, keep an eye out for me. I plan on writing more stories about them.

"Venus."

It was amazing how after so much time of loneliness, one word could set everything right. She could see the confusion and relief on his face and, in that moment, all she wanted was to wrap herself in his arms again.

Then there were his eyes. They changed from unfamiliar and malicious to the ones she remembered from their past, soft and reassuring. They were the eyes of the man she met while in Serenity's charge. The eyes she looked into during their late night discussions. The eyes that lowered her guard and saw past her brave face. They were eyes she fell in love with and, in that moment, she saw everything they shared and everything they could have again.

She was already imagining his arms around her again as she raised herself up. After so much fighting and pain and loneliness, they could be together again and she felt more relief than she had in a long time.

"Kunzite," she breathed.

It had been so long. Ever since the day she regained her memories, she had felt so lost in them. She needed to share her pain with someone. He had always been so good at that. He always understood the hardship of being a leader and put things in perspective with her. She had to be so strong lately that it had been wearing on her and he could understand that. He was what she needed all this time and, finally, she could have it again. She could have everything again.

And, in that moment when she thought she could have it all, just when she thought everything would be fine, a malevolent voice filled the air. A dark energy came raging in. Her heart dropped but it would be okay. It just had to be. She had worked so long to get back to him. They could finally be together with nothing in the way. The smoke cleared and she waited to see him there, smiling his cocky smile, as if he could be beaten but there was nothing. He was gone. And her heart, which had finally finished mending broke again.
