For many the most inner sanctum of the Golden Forest was a legend, mortals and many dwarves had never stepped foot in those lands. They were forever heavily guarded, and all those who lived within them were content and peaceful for it! Never had the darkness crossed the borders of Lothlorien and all within were joyous for such a life.
Today the forest was alive with the sounds of an even greater joy. The string instruments and pipes of the musicians accompanying the voices of the Elves who danced to show their jubilation. For the day had come when Celeborn had finally chosen to take a beloved.
The meeting had been a passing fancy, the lady Moriia's father high adviser in the Greenwood court, and she had accompanied her father on a political venture. Spending her time while her father attended the king in long talks with the three great lords of the elven kin. It was a mere chance that caught her in the infrequent spring showers that gave life to the golden wood; she should stumble upon a man while seeking shelter in the nearest passage of the kingdom. Still wet with the rain and alive with the joy of life. She had spoken briefly with this man who had stepped out of the pathway somewhat startled at her appearance.
It wasn't much more than this simple exchange that began their love, a quiet moment hidden away from the eyes of the people, taking shelter from the rain and speaking with one another honestly.
They say that so great was their connection that when they, at last, returned to the main halls; Morria now swathed in his outer tunic that Lord Celeborn told his adviser the moment he returned to his chambers to find the lady he had met and arranged another meeting with her.
And so began the flame that was their affair, what started as one night of conversation became many days of chaperoned visitations. This later gave way to the secret rendezvous that melted away into passionate kisses. In the end when it was announced they would wed the people rejoiced as the Lady Moriia from Greenwood joined hands with Celeborn.
The joy known to the people and forest shadowed by the two whom the songs were sung about themselves. From far and wide the happiness could be seen within the two. Celeborn was said to exude such pure bliss that none had seen him before.
The lady Moriia was also told to smile so radiantly with happiness, that all who looked upon here fell hopelessly in love with her. They're hearts yearning even as they rejoiced at the couple's union. For there was no fairer a pairing in either two kingdoms save perchance that of the vast King of Greenwood and his beloved queen.
And for a time, things were blessed. The lady and lord lived in bliss and happiness. The second age began with such joy that all believed would last throughout the many ages. For who could ever destroy such happiness that surrounded all who looked upon the two?
The elation, which sounded in the second age with such vibrancy, however, would sadly not even see the new moon of their fifth hundredth year. The coming had said to be one of blessing. For the lady that came to the Highlands was one of beauty and great powers. All who looked upon the Lady Galadriel fell under her spell and likewise lost in her graces.
Not much known in the years between the first coming of the Lady Galadriel and the years of the ending. But it is known that from the first moment that Lord Celeborn laid eyes upon the lady he was changed.
A/N - 05/11/2017 Update - to those of you who have read this in the past and enjoyed it, "Thank you" from the bottom of my heart! I honestly have a hard time writing consistently because there is so many things I want to do that are creative that sometimes i end up stuck for months on anything creative at all... But i received a wonderful review today and it reminded me why I like writing so much. I get to share my love of the stories with you the readers!
Unfortunately I cannot just jump right back into writing a story that was published at the beginning of 2012 without redoing the chapters previously so please bear with me while I update the previous three chapters and begin working on a new one. I remember where I was hoping to go with this story I just never got around to working on it after my computer died!
