A new haunted house

It was a warm day in Waycross of 2012. I was at EMS. Aunt Mel had insisted on coming so I was busy helping her. Sickness had left her frail. In her current state she could barely stand. As such I refused to leave her side, which caused us to be late that night.

"Janie you're late. What happened?" Mrs. Janice said.

"I was helping Aunt Mel. I'm sorry." I said.

"It's fine." She said sweetly. I helped Melanie inside. As we entered the explorers stared at us. They noticed her frail thin body. Each saw her sunken face, they even noticed the belly. They looked worried.

"Hey What's wrong Mel? You look sick." Jasper said,

"It's the Asian Flu." I said. I sat her down and we discussed the nights training. Mrs. Janice recommended we try patient handling with contagious diseases. Since we use real people, Melanie was asked to help. She obligueded. Together we demonstrated.

"Aunt Mel are you sure?" I asked.

"Yeah I don't mind, plus I got to go to the loo." She said weakly. With that I helped her up. I lifted her up and carried her. As we walked out of the room, everyone was watching. When we came back they clapped. Mrs. Janice seemed proud.

"Thanks for showing us how it's done." Mrs. Janice said.

"It's no problem. Angel and I are happy to help." Melanie said weakly.

"Aunt Mary said she's coming back from her trip so I invited her. I also called the others and invited them too" I said.

"I'm glad. They should meet our friends." Melanie said weakly. As soon as I said that the 1st of them walked in. To my surprise it was Mary. She was beaming; she walked up to me and hugged me then hugged Melanie. Then she looked around happily.

"Aunt Mary I thought you were in Jerusalem?" I said.

"I was but I wanted to meet your friends." She replied. The next to come in was Alexis. Unlike Mary, she ran up to us. She hid behind Mary. She seemed scared.

"Lexi don't be scared." Mary said

"I'm sorry but I can't help it." Alexis replied in sweet tone. With that Tracy came in. She smiled warmly as she approached us. She hugged Mary, Alexis and me and kissed Mel's forehead. She was sweet. It was great to see her.

"Sorry I'm late I had to trim the roses." She said.

"At least you made it." Melanie said weakly. Suddenly Mrs. J stormed in. She was breathless. She sat next to Melanie. Then she hugged her sister, then she wiped Mel's brow.

"Sorry I was paying my respects." She said

"To who?" Heather asked concerned.

"My boys Mickey and Eddie. To day is the anniversary of their deaths." She said sadly. All five sisters were together. Each introduced themselves to the EMS. The others were intrigued. Heather hugged Mrs. J sweetly. They received a warm welcome.

"You guys are great, why don't yall become advisors?" Mrs. Janice said.

"We'd be honored." Mary said.

"Welcome to the EMS guys." Melanie said weakly.
