The abysmal feeling of loneliness
It plagued me day by day
Until I met you

You were bright
The darkness fled
At your light
Warmth strikes my soul again
Forever we are together

But your light
It has faded
You left me alone in the dark
It strangles me, suffocating me
Dragging me back into a pitch black pit

Now empty is all I am
A shell with intricate, invisible cracks
Nobody seems to notice
The demons that made each crack

You cut me open but what do you see
Nothing deep down in my core
No heart to be accounted for

The darkness takes a form
And I can hear him call
Your light has met its lonely end
So I am left to say
I owe you a fall
