Not having a colorful world to harbor her creativity, Orihime's imagination runs wild in her dreams.

I don't own Bleach. Tite Kubo does. Enjoy. :D

The King's kingdom was perfect.

There was no war, no famine, and everyone was guaranteed a long, happy life so long as they didn't cross the King. Through all the perfection the King ruled with an iron fist, the source of his power coming from his crown. The crown had been passed down many years and had a strong magic attached to it in the form of a black spherical crystal…

Ulquiorra walked Orihime back to her room. He wasn't sure why Aizen had shown the woman the Hogyoku, but it seemed to have made an impact on her. The empty halls echoed their footsteps rhythmically. He looked over his shoulder at Orihime. Her eyes were foggy, slightly unfocused.

"Woman."

Orihime looked up, "Huh?..."

She didn't look like she had been getting much sleep lately. This couldn't have been the problem though. Ulquiorra checked on her multiple times each night, just to make sure she received adequate amounts of sleep.

"Have you been sleeping well?" The question was awkward to him, and Orihime looked confused.

"Ah…Uh. Yeah…"

She clearly wasn't.

The King had a problem.

No one knew of the Black Crystal except for a select few that the King trusted above all else: his Two Regal Advisors, his Six Noblemen, and his Four Guardians. All of them together were the King's Nights. The Black Crystal itself wasn't foolproof and every now and then needed repair. The King's Nights did not possess the abilities to fix the Crystal, and thus the King had a problem.

The King called one of his Guardians into the throne room.

"Welcome, Quiorra."

The Guardian kneeled before his King, "Sir."

"I have a mission for you, Quiorra. You will search across the land for someone able to fix the Black Crystal. The other Guardians have been instructed to help you."

"Yes, my lord."

"Return with this person as soon as you can. Until then my plans cannot be completed."

"I understand, my lord."

Bowing deeply, Quiorra spread his black wings and disappeared in a rush of wind.

Ulquiorra watched Orihime sleep. It amazed him.

She tossed and turned. Her expression changed rapidly.

This must be what's known as dreams.

So…There's the first chapter. :D I'm really looking forward to this. Especially making up the dream sequences.

NEXT CHAPTER: Who is Quiorra and the other Nights? Will he find the one that can fix the Black Crystal? What's the King's grand plan?
