"Where are we? Where did the gap come out?"
"Norway." Rose's heart was breaking. She couldn't stand the universe, she wanted to just hold the Doctor and never ever let go.
"Norway…" The Doctor said, looking around. "Right."
"50 miles out of Bergen. Darlig Ulv Stranden."
"Dalek?"
"Darlig. It's Norwegian for bad… This translates as Bad Wolf Bay." They smile at the irony of it.
"How long have we got?"
"'Bout, 2 minutes."
"I don't even know what to say." Rose said. The Doctor smiled.
"But… How do I do this?" Rose asked, as the Doctor's smile faded, to be replaced with a look of regret.
"How do I just, live a normal life? Here." She faltered. "Without you?" The Doctor's hearts stopped.
"How can I just forget all that happened? Everything-" Her voice cracked. "Everything we had?" She started to cry.
"I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. If I could I would bring you through right now." Rose looked up at him, his eyes were watering.
"I know you would."
"We've only got about thirty seconds." The Doctor said, regretfully. Rose choked.
"Don't leave me." Rose said. The Doctor had tear tracks on his face.
"I'm sorry," Was all he could say.
"I-" She choked again, as she looked up into his eyes. "I love you." She broke down.
The Doctor's hearts broke. "Quite right too." She nodded.
"And… I suppose, if it's my last chance to say it," She looked up, she had so much hurt in her eyes.
"Rose Tyler, I-" And he faded away. Rose sobbed into her hands and let out a scream, a scream filled with hurt and anger and so much more. She collapsed, right there on the beach. She sat there, shaking with sobs until her mother ran over and gathered her up in her arms.
In another universe the Doctor stood in the TARDIS, tears running down his face. "Love you." He finished. He took several deep breaths and wiped away the tears from his face.
To be continued…
Yeah… Sorry about the angst. This is how I wanted Doomsday to end. Now excuse me while I go cry.
