This is just a little one-shot that came to mind one day. it's my first fanfic ever, so please reveiw! thanks!

As he glanced up at the night sky, he wondered how long it usually took for one's innocence to be lost. When he first came to Coruscant, he would look at the sky and think it to be filled with falling stars. As time whittled itself away, however, he realized that they weren't stars at all, just speeders and ships, all hurrying, trying to get from some place to another.

At home, looking at the stars brought him solace, brought him peace. Here, they merely mirrored his confusion. Sometimes it made him wonder what in the worlds he was doing here. He knew what the other apprentices thought of him, heard the whisperings of the Jedi Council, saw the exasperated look on Obi-Wan's face after each and every one of Anakin's nighttime journeys into the underbellies of Coruscant. Anakin sighed. For six years, Obi-Wan had been trying to find a way to temper the boy's recklessness, to control his darker emotions. Anakin knew that Obi-wan meant well. He loved and respected his Master for that, but he just didn't understand. Anakin didn't need new challenges, or harder missions, or anything of the sort. Why couldn't Obi-wan see that all he ever wanted—all he ever needed—was for someone to believe in him?
