Dear Professor McGonagal;
My name is Martina Delfie. I am 9 years old. You wrote my sister, Teresa, a letter about a magic school. My parents say you are a liar and wont let her go. Isn't it funny that the owl that brought the letter is still here? I have a question. Last week my teacher's hair suddenly turned blue in the middle of math. Is that magic? My friend Annie says it isn't. Her hair is still blue. She says Mrs. West dyed it.
Martina Delfie
Dear Ms. Delfie;
It was nice hearing from you, it was quite a pleasant surprise. I was sad to hear that your sister won't be able to attend Hogwarts. She would have loved it. Has things like the incident with you teacher happened before? You know that is was magic if you were angry or upset at the time it happened. Things like this often happen to magical children before they go to school when they are 11. I hope to hear from you soon,
Professor Minerva McGonagal
Dear Professor McGonagal;
I have decided that I will call you Minnie. Is that okay? I want to give you a special name because you are my special magical friend. I have also named the owl Arty, short for Artimus. Do you think he likes it?
When I was little, my teddy bear lost an eye. My mommy wouldn't fix it because she said it was an enanimat object and couldn't feel anything. I was sad, Betty did have feelings and she wasn't dead, but hurt because she lost her eye. The next morning she had a bright shiny blue eye. Was that magic?
Martina
Dear Martina;
Unless your mother suddenly decided to fix Betty, I would hazard a guess and say that you did magic. When you turn 11 and go to Hogwarts, you will do well.
School started two months ago, and someone did something that reminded me of you. She took her stuffed elephant with her to class. She told me that stuffy missed her and wanted to come with her and that is why he sat so proudly on top of her desk, overseeing everyone's work.
I do not mind if you call me Minnie, just as long as you don't tell any of my students my new nickname. Arty likes his. The name I had actually given him as Ardium, so it fits very well.
Well, it is time for the Halloween Feast and I must attend.
I look forward to your letter,
Minnie
Happy Christmas Minnie!
Tank you thank you thank you thank you thank you sooooo much! I love my new owl! I named her Kristie, do you think she likes it? I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to send you your Christmas present, but than you sent me Kristie. The present is a picture of me that I made as school. My hair is really pretty in it because Stella and I decided to put glitter in ours. Mommy curled my hair for the picture and I smiled really big sot that you could know how much I like you!
Happy Christmas Minnie. Thank you for Kristie!
Martina
