"Dinah's Sudden Addiction"

PLEASE READ:If you've never read the fourth book, and dont want to knoww what happen in the fourth book, then DON'T read. This is my first time doing a fanfiction and I hope you enjoy. I was pretty amazed at how many reference I had made up were a actually used in the 5th book.I wrote this before the 5th book was published. Read the 5th book to see some of my refrence. The only refrence I changed was the headphones Dinah was wearing, they were regular before but after reading the 5th book and finding out Edaniel gave her fish mp3 player, I decided to use that, more funny.

A young girl was perched on a high branch of an old oak tree. Her black, lolita dress swayed as the sun went down. As she was busy, concentrating on a lovely book, a young man came up to the tree. His curly black hair shined in the coming moonlight, showing his chivalry as a knight.

"Dinah," he yelled. "What are you doing?" The young girl, who's name was actually Dinah, did not look up or concern herself with him, instead she kept on reading. He could hear her muffled voice from where he stood. He quickly climbed up to her and sat himself down.

"What are you reading?" He asked. Dinah lifted the book higher and kept reading. The book was a crimson red, with bolded black letters on it that read, "Dictionary".

"De-plor-a-ble: causing or being subject for grief or regret; A sentence would be: the deplorable death of a friend." Recited Dinah.

"So, what are you reading?" Dinah sighed and pushed the book forward, so it was only inches from his face. The boy blinked and finally said,

"I can't read, so I don't know what the hell your doing."

"Edrear, I'm reading the dictionary."

"Why? What fun is that?"

"Well I'm in no fine mood," She sneered. "Vincent is dead and I have nothing to comfort me, so the only thing that helps is this dictionary. I'm looking up every word that's connected with the word sad." Dinah continued reading.

"Heart-bro-ken: crushed with sorrow or grief. Lu-gu-bri-ous: mournful, dismal, or gloomy, especially in an affected, exaggerated, or unrelieved manner." Edrear coughed and cleared his throat. His face made a stern look, that might of told someone he was about to make an important speech. But, of course, Dinah didn't notice for she was totally oblivious to anything Edrear did or say. She was to intrigued by how many words their were to express on feeling. She was so intrigued that she was thinking of looking in the French, Spanish, and Japanese dictionary next.

"You know, right now, I'm feeling pretty happy that Vincents not here...dead. I mean whoever needed him..."

"WHAT——" Dinah screamed.

"I mean...I...um–—" He stuttered. Dinah took off her fish head phones.

"Sorry, the volume went to high, I couldn't hear you. What did you say?"

"Umm... that I don't know how to read and I was wondering if you could teach me. I want to feel your pain...and comfort. I'll tell Bali-Lali that you need your employers day off of the year."

"Really, Edrear? Oh my God, Thank-you. Wait, we can have time off?"

"Yah, five full days for vacation, it was mentioned in the handbook."

"I was never given a handbook!!"

"Oh..."

So for the next five nights, Dinah taught Edrear to read, using the outdated dictionary.

"Love-lorn: being without love; forsaken by one's lover."

"Woah, that's so meaningful," Edrear signed.

"Mor-bid: suggesting an unhealthy mental state or attitude."

"Oooh,"

"De-pressed: sad and gloomy. And Edrear stop making sound effects, it's annoying and creeping me out."

"Yes Mam!"

"It's DINAH!" She yelled.
