Juvia is the moodiest person Gray knows, even more so now that she was pregnant. It reminds him of when they first met when every little thing he said sent a new attack his way. He chuckled at the memory of younger Juvia. Only problem right now was she's a lot worse with her hormones so out of tune. Those said hormones would explain why Gray was currently at a convenience store at the ungodly hour of 2:30 a.m. for said moody person and her interesting cravings. As he's searching through the aisles for chocolate mint cookies because, she just had to have them "right now," when his phone rings. Wonder who that is? Gray thought sarcastically as he picks up the phone.
"Yes Dear," he's just trying to stay on her good side that's all.
"Don't forget Juvia's string cheese and Mangos!"
"Mangos? Seriously?" That was a new one.
He realized his grave mistake much too late. He heard the sob before she even started her sentence. "Juvia was *hic* craving mangos!"
Oh fuck, god not again! "No! No! No, that's fine! I'll find mangos, promise. No need to cry"
She squeaked a little in pleasure and replied, "Thank you!" He could already picture her smile over the phone and frowned. Really, it was that easy to soothe her and to send her over the edge. A very thin line Gray Fullbuster was walking these days. "Be back soon, Kay! Love you!" and she promptly hung up, probably to go back to sleep which Gray would love to be doing right now. He just shook his head and sighed. Damn she was lucky he loved her.
Two hours and three stores later he was finally able to get everything on her ridiculous list. Seriously who even needed pickles, cream cheese, and pepperoni's in one list? God he just hoped she didn't start to eat all of this in front of him, it was all he could do to stomach buying all the stuff, he couldn't even imagine seeing her eat all of it combined together.
When he finally comes home and enters the house he finds her in their bedroom wearing her nightgown, reading a book she borrowed from Lucy. He places the groceries in the kitchen first and joins her. She looked up when she heard him come in and proceeded to frown. That's when he saw her eyes start to glisten and Gray just walked to his wife's side ready to comfort her as needed. He has always been interested at how her mind works, but even more so now than ever before. He truly couldn't imagine how her bad her hormones must be with this pregnancy. As he sat down on the bed next to her she just looked at him for a little bit before she said anything.
"You never have time for Juvia anymore," she sobbed biting her lip.
He just smiled slightly leaned his forehead against hers and replied "All my time belongs to you, Juvia."
She scowled at that, "You're lying! Juvia doesn't need you."
He smirked a little more at that. She certainly never would have said that to him before but he likes this side of her just the same. "You're right, Juvia doesn't need me."
"Juvia hates Gray!" Her tears were really starting to stream down her face now.
"But Gray loves Juvia."
She started to sob uncontrollably at that statement and every other sob held an apology. "Juvia's sorry! *hic* I'm just so emotional with this stupid pregnancy and *sob* I don't know how to handle it!"
"That's why you're not alone." He wiped her tears away and kissed her softly. "Come on I haven't gotten much sleep lately thanks to someone and I think we could both use some right about now." He smiled to reassure her that he was only joking, no need to cause more tears accidently. Juvia gave him a tiny smile and nodded in agreement.
"Ok"
