Nighttime's Passage
A/N - implied Jack/Elisabeth.

"Good night, Liz."
The turn of the nighttime brings emotions to their summit, her escape from the monotony of the mornings, the daytime that plays a faux role, real but not quite there. As the turn of the watch owl folds over, she is with him, the daring, bold, crusader, the one she calls her love.
The lush and luminous dreams that fill her head bring tears to their breaking point, for as daytime draws nearer, she realizes that this is the opposite; this is not hers, but it is there all the same. These visions are her dreams; rich, tempting, and far too good to be real.
"Wake up, Liz."
