Team Jacob one-shot:
"Bells! I'm home!" I heard my husband yell.
"I'm in the kitchen with Emily!" I hollered back. Emily smiled.
"Hello," Jacob said., kissing my cheek.
"Yum smells good," he said, poking his fingers into the pot of spaghetti.
"Hey!" I said, hitting him with my wooden spoon, "Save some for your brothers!"
Jacob just chuckled, "Where's Eddie?" he asked. Eddie was our son. He was 5 years old. His full name was Edward William Black.
"Down at the beach with Charlie. He's taking Eddie fishing for the first time," I replied.
"Jacob?" Emily asked, "Where's Sam?"
"He'll be by soon, he had to pick something up at the store," Jacob informed her.
I heard the yelling of the wolves as they ran into my kitchen.
"Wash your feet!" I yelled, "Last time I spent 3 hours cleaning the dirt off my floors!"
"Yes, Major!" Paul said, saluting me. I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever you say, Bella," Seth said cheerfully.
I finally got the pack to wash their feet and sit at the table. I went outside to collect my son and my dad.
"Eddie! Charlie! Dinner!" I bellowed. I saw my father and my son run up the path to my little house. I scooped up my son in my arms.
"Mommy!" Eddie squeaked, "I caughta big fishy!" He held it up so I could see. The fish was maybe two inches long.
"You're right that is big!" I said, "Jake! Come look at the big fish Eddie caught!"
Jacob came outside and smiled when he saw his son and the tiny fish Eddie had in his hands.
"Daddy! Look at my fishy!" Eddie shrieked, squirming to get out of my arms.
"You caught that?" he asked Eddie.
"Ya!" Eddie said happily.
"All by yourself?" Jacob asked in pretended awe.
"Ya!" Eddie said.
Jacob grabbed Eddie from me and held him up.
"I'm so proud of you, bud! Maybe Mommy will use it to make dinner tomorrow!" Jacob said, sending a meaningful glance my way.
"Definitely!" I said, "Looks yummy!"
Then, Jacob, Eddie, Charlie, and me walked inside my little house to eat dinner with our family.
