Because Shatter-chan left a lovely review of my last story with Kon and Tim adopting baby Stella. This took a little longer than I expected to finish, and I do plan on adding more chapters. :) So, please enjoy, dont forget to review and suggestions are welcome.

It was not to long ago that Tim and Conner had adopted a bay girl. They had named her Stella Kent, since Tim was the one picked the first name, Kon gave her his last name. Her first name was not after the lead role in the play, A Streetcar Named Desire, but because her eyes glittered. Since Stella means star, the name seemed appropriate.

The whole situation felt strange – at the beginning. The pair went from two to three in less than twenty four hours when most people have nine months to prepare for the homecoming of a child. It felt even more odd explaining to their families what they had done. How they had decided to adopt a baby girl after Conner found her mother dying.

After the first few days, the pair eventually worked out a routine. During the day, it was a tad easier. Either Kon or Tim would be at home to keep an eye on her, which was never that difficult. Newborn babies do not cause much trouble anyway.

However at night, it was Tim's job to wake up and attend whenever the child would be crying for food. He was used to being up at night, so it was natural for him. Usually he would feed little Stella alone, there was no reason for Conner to be awake with him.

Tim stared down at his little girl in his arms as he fed her the warm bottle of formula. There was a rustling behind him. He tilted his head back and saw Conner approaching.

"Hey?" Tim greeted with a smile and a whisper. "Get lonely?"

"Yeah." Conner admitted, yawning and wrapping his arms around Tim's waist.

The pair was staring into the darkness of the city, and a pair of shadows leaping across the tops of the buildings. Tim accidentally let out a sigh, there was a part of him yearning to be out there. It had been three days since he last put on the cowl of Red Robin.

"You want to be out there, don't you?" Conner whispered into Tim's ear.

"Of course I want to be out there," Tim took the empty bottle away from Stella and placed it on the changing table. With a cloth he began wipe the tiny bit of spit up from the baby's mouth. "But that is not where I belong right now. Stella needs me more than city, and I'll go back if ever Bruce needs the extra backup."

"You don't trust me with her?" Conner laughed quietly.

"Not at night, you'll sleep right through her cries." Tim tilted his head back and gave Kon a kiss on the cheek.

Suddenly they heard a knocking at the window, and they both turned to look at it. On the other side of the window, holding onto his line, was Damian. He stuck his tongue out for a few seconds before gazing upward, and pulling his line in that direction. Bruce was probably yelling at him, telling him leave his brother alone.

"He stops by every night." Tim revealed. "I'm not sure if he's teasing me because he's out there and I am in here, or he's trying to be protective."

"At least we know she'll be safe."
