I do not own Bones or anything else in this fanfic that my need to be copyrighted. Live, Laugh, Love.

Her laugh was like the key that opened the prison door. I felt free and alive, and the way she laughed made me believe she finally was too. Ever since my "gamble" I feel like some unseen force has been holding us back, away from each other.

But hearing her laugh, to hear her voice ring in amusement, makes it seem like the world is set in order again. Us, together, laughing, even though the horridness of our careers. I push the "how's and the "what if's out of mind as she playfully says "This is terrible and wrong."

"I won't tell if you don't tell." I say back, equally as childish.

We share a gaze in that moment, and she gives me one of her thousand watt smiles she only saves for those worthy, those so unlike me. Just the look in her eyes tells me everything I need, tells me "This, we, will be alright."

With that we sit in the SUV, in a comfortable silence. Not an awkward, hurt silence we've lately been having, but the "before" kind of silence. Content, happy, and almost as beautiful as her laugh.

I wish i could have ended it more romancy but I think this is a realistic first step to the recovery of thier relationship. Of coarse none of you read these things for realism do you. I'm totally cool with that. Please review with constuctive critisism and maybe read my other stories if you feel like it. Peace, love, and violets are all we really need.
