"Join me tonight for dinner." I told him. The person standing before me happened to be the same person I had an incredibly large crush on, though I always did my best to hide this fact.

"Eh? Dinner? Tonight?" He tried to make it as obvious as he possibly could that he was thinking over the situation. "Hmm… Well, alright. I'll do you a favor and bless you with my godly presence, but you owe me." He grinned a big, crooked grin. My eye twitched a little and I had to tell myself at least his teeth are symmetrical.

I smiled politely, although annoyed by him, if I got angry now it might mess up my chances with him. I didn't really understand why I was so compelled by him. I hated everything about him. He just had this way of drawing me in. I couldn't stay away. He was the only person I ever had any sort of interest in; normally I saw people as just that, people; never with potential to be anything more in my life.

"Thank you, Black Star. I'll pick you up tonight." I turned to walk away, but had to stop and turn back when he began to talk to me again.

"Pick me up?" He scratched his head, "Sounds like you're talking about a date." He laughed, apparently finding the idea so preposterous that it was worth a good hearty laugh.

When I had begun to walk away, I'd also begun to secretly fantasize about how the night might go; telling myself I finally had a date with Black Star. Though I hated to admit it, I did find him to be just as undoubtedly amazing as he claimed to be. I knew it wasn't a date; I just liked to pretend. When he'd spoken those words, it felt as though he'd read my mind. I froze, eyes wide, jaw slightly dropped.

He looked at me with a puzzled look on his face. "Are you okay, Kid-kun?"

I attempted to regain some of my composure. "Ah! Um, y-yes. I'm just a little warm." I forced a reassuring, confident smile onto my face.

He grinned that big, toothy grin again. "Good! You better not get sick; no one cancels on the amazing Black Star!" Suddenly, he leaned foreword and planted a small kiss on my cheek. "See you on our date, Kid-kun!" He waved frantically before running off. I thought I heard a faint "Yahoo!" Coming from the direction in which he ran.

I put my hand to my now blushing cheek. "Date?" I smiled.
