Quick note (maybe), Cursed will have many flashbacks to the 1800's in order for you to really understand what the curse is. It was seriously hard staying in third person for the prolouge, but that's what I'll do for all flashbacks. (see, quick)

The Beginning.

Thorn Hill, 1809

April, Elizabeth, and Kathryn stood in thick silence, not even glancing at one another. April stared at the imposing tree, forcing her fear into the recesses of her mind.

"It's time," She said quietly, moving forward. She heard Elizabeth and Kathryn's gowns move across the grass as they walked. Closer, closer; they could almost taste the freedom.

Finally, she faced her companions. Kathryn was the midnight to Elizabeth's light morning. Kathryn pulled out the ceremonial dagger.

"I do not wish to stay long,"Elizabeth pulled her shawl tightly around herself. "I want it over quickly."

April touched her arm. "It will be done hastily, my dear."

Kathryn approached the tree and ripped a piece of fabric from her own dress. "You must join me or it will not work," she sneered at the others and they obliged.

Once they had all tied together their strips os fabric, Kathryn cut a line on her palm and sprinkled it on the ground around the old tree. The others mimicked her.

"We end where we began, from the fire we shall fall." April began. "We give our blood to pass the curse of the three to others."

Elizabeth closed her eyes. A bright light, almost like a flame, rose from the tree. It engulfed them all in a close embrace.

"Two hundred and three years may pass," A deep voice answered. "And the curse shall be passed on."

And the three women joined hands as the fire buried them.
