The words towards the end, the ones in italics, are direct quotes from the episode 25 Graves of Midas. It came so fast, I had to take a break from Man of Honor and write it down.

I RIDE FOR MY BROTHER

~oOo~

I mount my horse to go in search of him, a blonde haired cowboy who I once felt nothing but hate for. Why? I push my horse forward as I ask the question…even though I know the answer. If he'd disappeared soon after he joined the family, I would have been gotten drunk just from celebrating. Now? Where is he? What has happened? He should've been here to meet me. This isn't like him something isn't right.

That woman, she's hiding something. I know what I saw! There was blood in that barn! Someone's hurt, question is who? I don't have time to fight her though; I have no time to look. The other owner of the mine is here. I have no choice but to talk to him.

Later, I ride hard and long to Merinet to see if, by chance, he went there. Again, it makes no sense to me but I have to look.

I ride and ride; I find out his camp. My heart jumps, almost stops, his gun! It's lying by his campsite! I jump on Coco and ride hard back to Midas. That woman, Mrs. Kendall, my gut screams she was indeed lying. She was hiding someone in that barn, someone who's been hurt and, somehow, I know it's my brother.

Storming into her place of business, MIDASHOUSE, I demand to know who the man she's hiding is. I don't think she would have told me but the younger woman appears and insists she tell me.

Within seconds, I'm riding hard for the Midas Mine. I have to get to Heath. Men, they're at the mine. They're trying to get to whoever is inside. Fury rages inside me and I jump off my horse, rush to the mine and quickly rush in though I hate being inside mines.

Again my heart stops, I hear gunshots. I pull my gun and continue moving. I don't know exactly what happens but beams and rocks begin to fall. I search on. I stop, I see him. "HEATH!" I cry and run to where he lies pinned under a beam. I manage to get it off him, though it's not easy. Grabbing a hold of him, I help him stand, I help him out of that man, kicking a board down as I do.

"One of you men bring him some water!" I yell as I can see how badly Heath needs it.

"Thanks, Nick." He looks at me; the love and gratitude I see inhis eyes reach up and grab me so hard it shakes me to the core.

"You're going to be all right Heath, you're gonna be all right." I say the only thing I can get myself to say. Heath is hurt, only he's alive, and most importantly, I have my brother back.
