Disclaimer:
I obviously do not own the newsies, nor will I ever pretend to. (Omigod, could you imagine actually owning them ) ) However, I do own myself, Allie, and if you read my bio you know that Lei is a real person so she obviously owns herself.

This is just a teaser chapter; I promise that not all of the chapters will be this short. Second chapter should be finished and up soon! Anyway, enjoy!

"I know! I can't believe it's actually been so long since any of us have actually watched the whole movie!" Allie spoke into the phone to her best friend, Leigh-Ann.

"Our twelve year-old selves would never forgive us!" Lei laughed in response. Allie laughed with her and said,

"Alright, well I'm gonna throw my stuff in a bag and head over."

"Okay, see you soon!"

"Bye!" Allie hung up the phone and grabbed her duffle bag. The two girls were planning a "Newsies Party" for that night. Both had loved the movie when they were younger and it still held soft places in their hearts, but neither had actually watched the movie in years. So tonight, they were dressing up in full newsie garb, watching the DVD, and learning as many of the dances as they could. Allie grabbed some clothes, pajamas, and a bathing suit and threw them in her duffel bag. Also, as an afterthought, she grabbed all of her fan binders and threw them in the bag as well. She then changed into her newsie costume: white button-down with a white cami underneath, black capris, argyle socks, black hat and suspenders, and her black jazz boots that she wore for dance class. Then Allie grabbed the duffel bag, her purse, and a pillow, and went downstairs to say goodbye to her parents, then went out to her car. Once inside, she popped in the Newsies soundtrack and started to recite the prologue along with Max Casella. As Allie drove along, the streets she had driven on a hundred times before began to look unfamiliar in the dark. Soon enough, she was lost. Allie was a new driver so she quickly became nervous. She tried backtracking and figuring out where she made a wrong turn, but that only made her more lost than she already was. "Well this is perfect," she said aloud to herself, thinking of how mad her parents would be when they found out and how Lei would laugh at her when she finally made it to her house. But Allie was out of ideas on her own, so she turned off the car and got ready to call Leigh-Ann. As Allie looked out the window to try and find a street sign, she noticed the buildings around her looked like old, beat-up city apartments. Slightly confused, Allie opened her car door and looked down to find a cobblestone road. With shaking hands, she picked up her cell phone to find it wasn't working. Allie was very scared now, but realized it would be safer to explore in the morning. So she locked the door, crawled in the backseat with her pillow and went to sleep.
