I can't believe what I just saw. That many stars on such a pathetic planet? No, I can believe it. It was so pretty. I wish I could see it again. But I can't. There wasn't going to be another one for a while. I knew that. But I could wait. After all, I were only eight. Eight years old, that is. My red eyes peer up into the dark blanket that covers the entire sky. The moon shines right through it. Of course, I could only assume how the sky looked. "Karkat, it's time to go." My hands immediately start groping around for the voice. I know how everything sounded and where it came from. I love hearing it since I couldn't see it. My fingers curl around a cloth. I tug. Is it her? Of course it is. I count the steps it takes to get home, but eventually I run out of numbers to count. It isn't your fault everyone thought of you as mentally impaired just because my eyes refused to turn on. At least, that's what Terezi said. She had the same problem as me, but her eyes weren't as bad. I hear a click then a ringing sound. The smell of chocolate hits my face as I stumble up the steps and through an iron door. Home sweet home.
