Because this needs to be Densi fan fiction. I'm so upset I haven't read this before.

Disclaimer disclaimed. If I owned anything I wouldn't be on here.

Also takes place in a world where Kensi and Deeks are allowed to date in peace without the wrath of our evil writers.

Love Fern

"Okay, what the hell is that?" Deeks said, opening the door to see his partner holding a small, leafy plant.

"It's a fern." Kensi said, making her way through his front door.

"A fern. You brought me a fern. Did Fern just bring me a fern?" Deeks laughed.

"Yes. Don't let it die." Kensi said. Deeks could tell there was something more to this whole situation, as Kensi was acting super shy and weird.

"What inspired you to bring me a fern?" He asked.

"It's not your fern. It's our Fern." She corrected. Deeks shot her a glare that was both curious and concerned at the same time. "Nell made me watch this movie with her, and there's a fern in the movie." She said.

"Okay, so I've been calling you fern for way over a year and you watch one movie with Nell and decide we need to have a fern together?" Deeks totally knew she was fibbing. Kensi nodded.

"Tell me, what importance did this fern have to the movie? Was it like a red fern in 'Where the Red Fern Grows'?

"It was in 'How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days'." Kensi mumbled.

"What?" Deeks asked.

"You heard me." Kensi replied, slightly annoyed.

"I'm sorry did Kensi Blye watch a chick flick?" He joked.

"Stop. You know Titanic is my favorite movie, so why is this a big deal?" She said, punching him in the arm softly.

"So it's a chick flick fern?" He said.

"It's a love fern. Like it starts small but as you grow in your relationship it grows too." She said, feeling her face redden with embarrassment.

"That's actually really nice Kens. Is this you trying to be all domestic and romantic? Because I sort of like it."

Deeks said, with a ridiculously huge smile on his face. Kensi was so embarrassed though, that she was hiding her face. Deeks approached her and wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her into him.

"You know it's okay to be romantic with me, right?" He said.

"Yeah yeah." She said, relaxing slightly to his touch. It was so good to be with her partner, and she liked to hear him call her romantic. Of course he couldn't know that, but she sure did like to hear it.

"I won't let it die." He promised.

She smiled and pulled his lips to hers for a rough and impatient kiss.

"Romantic and sexy? How'd I get so lucky?" Deeks mumbled into her lips.

"Shut up." She said.

"I didn't even do anything wrong!" He shouted, playfully.

"Just go water our fern." She said.

"No more kissing?" He said, pursing his lips into a pouty face.

"After you water the fern." She said.

"Technically, you're also Fern, so I could water you…" he started.

"DEEKS!" she shouted.

"Fine fine. I'll water the fern, you pet Monty. Couch, 2 minutes. Then we make out a little bit?" he asked hopefully.

"We'll see." She said, knowing well that they would indeed be making out when he got back from watering their fern.
