Peter came to stand beside Egon as he adjusted the forty pound pack on his back. Looking up at the three story brownstone he asked, "So big guy, what do we have?"
"Well, it appears to be a class eight mega-specter," Egon said almost absentmindedly as he carefully adjusted the controls on the PKE meter.
'Poltergeist' Peter thought to himself, but he could see Winston was struggling to piece it together. "You wanna try that again in English?"
Egon remained quiet, most likely ignoring Peter, but Ray, on Egon's other side quickly responded. "A poltergeist, Peter! Isn't it great?! We haven't gone up against a poltergeist in weeks!"
"Starting to get bored there, Tex?" Peter asked with a slight touch of humour and affection in his otherwise deadpanned voice. "The demon that nearly took my head off yesterday wasn't enough for you?"
Ray had the audacity to laugh but it was Egon who answered this time."Peter, you exaggerate. There was at minimum three feet between you and the thrown vehicle."
"Three feet is not a lot of room there, Egon! Come on Winston, help a fellow out here."
Winston was just smiling as he shook his head. "Sorry Pete, I didn't see it one way or another. Your head is still firmly attached to your shoulders though so it couldn't have been that close."
Shaking his head and acting far more put upon than he truly was. "Everyone's a critic!"
