She hated it.

Camp Half-blood just found out that Percy was most likely at the Roman camp and she hated it.

Annabeth sat in her bunk staring blankly at the picture pinned above her bed of Percy and herself after one of their quests. They both sported orange camp tees and slightly bloody scratches so the picture was taken before Percy harbored the curse of Achilles. Percy had his arm around her and was blushing a deep red as she kissed his cheek.

Annabeth wasn't really focused on the picture, or her siblings that were surrounding her, trying to get her attention, telling her it was time for archery.

They eventually gave up, seeing as she was lost deep inside her mind, and not wanting to be late. They knew Chiron would understand why she wasn't there.

All Annabeth could think about was that she didn't know if Percy still harbored the curse of Achilles, didn't know if he was treated as an enemy, didn't know if he was alive. She forbid herself from thinking that last thought again.

Without really thinking , she jumped from her bunk and out the door of her cabin, ending up lying across Percy's bed, taking in the slightly salty smell that always had accompanied him.

It was his scent that calmed her, made her feel like he was almost lying beside her, holding her in his strong arms.

She fell asleep thinking of how much she missed her seaweed brain, and how much she loved him.

She hated it.
