Bringing back another old story because I figured, why not?
I don't know how many of you read the original The Many Personalities of Lloyd, but this is the new, re-written version! I did A LOT more research and I hope I write this good enough for y'all!
So sorry for being absent on here, my Christmas break hasn't started but when it does, I should be able to update stuff more.
After morro left Lloyd's body and the preeminent was defeated, everything went back to normal in Ninjago. Buildings were rebuilt, and the news stations were covering the incident.
The ninja had moved the bounty back to the bay, and everyone had slowly returned back to the comfortable life they used to have.
Everyone but Lloyd.
"Hey, greenbean. How are you doing?" Cole asked softly, sitting on the couch next to him.
"Fine. Great. Wonderful, even." The green ninja said blandly, staring down at his fingernails.
"Lloyd, you don't have to be strong all the time. I know you aren't handling this well, you can tell me." The ghost placed his transparent hand on Lloyd's knee, somehow getting it to physically manifest.
"Cole, I appreciate the sympathy, but I'm fine. Promise." He reassured, giving him a smile. Cole saw past the lies, and recognized the cold, empty darkness and grief buried deep in the red eyes.
"Alright. You want some hot chocolate or something? We can watch a movie." He asked. Lloyd nodded, and wrapped a blanket around himself.
"So, Lloyd, what movie did you watch?" jay asked, as he walked into the kitchen.
"What?"
"The movie you watched earlier with Cole, what was it?"
"Jay, I didn't watch a movie with Cole." Lloyd answered, confused. Jay's eyebrows rose, and he threw his arm in the direction of the living room.
"The movie is literally on right now. What is it? Just tell me the name of the movie, for FSM's sake!" he yelled. Lloyd winced, placing his hands over his ears.
"Jay, I'm being truthful. I have no recollections of watching anything with Cole. I came out of my room and walked out here to make a peanut butter sandwich." He answered.
"Whatever, Lloyd." The auburn huffed, and stomped out to the living room.
"There's something up with him!" he stated, stomping his foot for emphasis.
"Jay, what are you talking about?" Kai's voice was laced with tiredness. He and nay had spent the day in stixx, helping rebuild and relocate families.
"Lloyd! I get it, he just lost his dad for the second time…but he just lied to my face! He never does that!" he answered, his voice rising higher with every word.
"Jay, I can't take you seriously when you sound like a chipmunk. Take a deep breath and repeat what you just said." The fire ninja ordered. Jay took a deep breath.
"I just saw him in the kitchen, so I asked him what he and Cole were watching, and he told me to my face that he never watched anything, that he'd walked into the kitchen to make a peanut butter sandwich and that was it. I get that he just lost his dad again, but I don't know what he's doing!" he repeated, his voice squeaking towards the end.
"You're right…that is weird. We should keep a closer eye on him to see how he's coping, not that we haven't already. Not only is his dad gone, but morro possessed him. we still need to take that into accounting and let him know how important he is to us." Kai answered, and looked at Cole, who nodded.
"Yeah. I sat here and asked him if he wanted to watch a movie, so whatever is going on…well, hopefully it's just his mind playing tricks on him since he just got unpossessed." He answered.
"Alright. Team let's observe Lloyd and tell Zane or Nya when we have evidence is a go!" jay yelled, and sat on the couch.
"Now, what WERE you watching?"
Lloyd felt a cold sensation worm its way down his spine, as he shook his head.
Wait, wasn't he on the couch?
He looked into his hands, which were holding a peanut butter sandwich. He frowned and pushed the sandwich far away from him.
He HATES peanuts and peanut butter, so he doesn't know why he made that. Guess he won't ever know.
Insomnia's a bitch.
