Fifth year. Both Albus and Scorpius, along with their families and friends and probably the whole wizarding world if they knew what had happened, hoped and prayed that this year would go smoother than the last one. They had no interest in ever experiencing anything like that again. Especially the part when the boys had been forbidden from seeing each other. It had broken both their hearts, and their parents could see that now. It would never happen again, they said. The boys agreed. They wouldn't let it happen again either.

When they met up at Platform 9 ¾, they hugged tightly. Scorpius had spent his summer in France with his grandparents and thus couldn't visit Albus, who had been bored out of his mind.

Albus hugged his mum, who said "I love you. Have fun this year. Just not too much fun." She pressed a kiss to his forehead and hugged him once more.

Then it was his dad's turn. He hugged Albus, then said, "Try to stay out of trouble this year. No messing with time and bringing back the dead. Deal?"

"Of course dad. And let me guess, no talking back to my teachers either?"

Harry's eyes crinkled as he smiled at his youngest son. "Just don't do anything to drastic. You know how McGonagall is. Better go join Scorpius, he looks lonely over there waiting for you."

Just as Albus was about to go to his friend, Harry spoke again. "Albus, have a good year. I love you."

"Love you too dad. Bye!"

He ran over to join his friend and Harry put his arm around Ginny as they watched them.

"How long, do you think, until they realize they like each other?"

Harry looked down at her, confusion on his face. "What do you mean?"

"Oh, you hadn't noticed?" Ginny's face was an innocent mask. "Albus was absolutely miserable this summer without Scorpius. And he talks about him an awful lot. He was so eager to go back to school this year. That's a first, a think, aside from Hermione of course. And they way they act around each other, definitely completely head over heels for each other."

Harry watched as Albus and Scorpius boarded the train, laughing and joking with each other. Thinking back, he realized Ginny was right. He laughed. "Well, who would've thought. A Potter and a Malfoy."
