AN: I know Nanna is the daughter of Nepr according to the myths. However Nepr is listed as one of Odin's sons so that would have made Baldur marry his own niece and Vali gives the Greek pantheon a hard time about that in Howl for me. So we are going to go with the Marvel version for her parenthood. Don't own anything except for plot.

Prologue

Bare feet stumbled over tree roots. The young woman leaned against a tree. She had to get away, he was going to kill her! All because she overheard what his damn weakness was and was married to his son. She had to make it to the bifrost and hope Heimdall would be able to help her escape to the world of Man. If he wasn't to controlled by those horrible apples, that is. Nanna was never so grateful that apples made her sick to her stomach so she would always pretend to eat them. Her mother would have worried if she had known Nanna couldn't eat them, because according to Odin it was the apples that would keep them young for centuries and her mother would have to worry about losing her to age.

At least in the forest she was safer, being the goddess of earth, and the moon and fertility through her mother, the forest would keep her safe until she reached the bifrost. She knew if she managed to escape Odin, he would fake her death for her. Even with the power of the apples to help him, no one would believe sweet tiny Nanna capable of betrayal and Odin would lose her mother and her valkyries and her brothers through her father would stop making treasures for the gods.

She paused in her running, she was at the edge of the forest. Her heart was gripped in fear, the forest had protected her, but for her to make it to the bifrost she would have to leave it's safety. She put her small hand on the nearby tree and whispered a quick thank you to the forest for its protection.

Her feet pounded against the ground as she ran as fast as she could to the bifrost where Heimdall would hopefully be.

"Heimdall, are you here? Heimdall?!" She gasped for breath after running so much. She had a feeling she would be running for a long time.

"Nanna? What are you doing here?" Heimdall, like all the gods, was gorgeous as most of the gods were, but Nanna felt nothing looking at him.

"I need to use the bifrost and go to Midgard. Please, I beg of you, do not tell anyone where I'm going." Heimdall was definitely surprised by Nanna's request. He was sure she had never even been to Midgard and now she wanted to go. He looked closely at her appearance and was shocked. Her light blonde hair was completely out of place and had leaves and twigs stuck in there as well. Her once beautiful blue dress was torn and she was missing shoes.

"Alright I shall help you, if you tell me who it is you are running from." Nanna shook her head she couldn't tell him that he would never believe her and she told him so. "I can not tell you, you wouldn't believe me and if you did it would only put you in danger as well. Just promise me you won't reveal anything about me until the time is right you will know when it happens." Heimdall gave her his word and sent her to the world of Midgard.

"I wish you luck Nanna."

Okay I have an idea of who to pair Nanna up but I want to know who do you guys want to see her with. And yes I actually do plan on finishing this story.
