Forgoten Dance of Sorts

A young teenaged girl startled awake as the howls of the wink began to get louder. She brought her hand to her head and let her slender fingers brush the deep chestnut hair away from her face. Her brown eyes were clouded with the last remnants of sleep. She pulled herself out of bed and made her legs take her to the window, her feet quietly padding along the wooden floor. Her white nightgown flowing silently with the wind coming through the window in some sort of little forgotten waltz.

"Honda-san," a voice called out, as a knock came from the opposite side of the room. "Are you awake?" the voice rang out again, belonging to that of a boy.

"Yes Yuki-kun, I'm awake." The young teen replied silently, walking over to the door and sliding it open quietly, reveling a slender figure. His silver hair glimmered in the moonlight as the few rays that were left played against his sharp features. His night shirt was buttoned up to his neck, while the rest hung over his small frame.

"Yuki-kun," the teen began, a hint of worry weaving itself into her expression, "Is everything alright?" she finished as she slid the door open farther, gesturing for the other teen to come in.

"Yes, its just that-" The teen stopped short as he began to stair at the girl before him, her chestnut hair slightly tousled, her brown eyes shimmering with deep concern. He couldn't help himself. He took a step toward her and wrapped on thin arm around her waist, letting his other arm rest lightly on her shoulders, entangling his hand in her hair.

"Its just that," he let his lips touch hers gently, receiving a slight draw back from her, but she soon admitted to his soft kiss and returned it with her own. He pulled back from the kiss and spoke softly, "I heard you walking about, and came to check if you were alright."

"I'm fine, the wind was just a bit strong that's all." She whispered, hoping not to wake the other residents of the household.

"Yuki-kun," the girl spoke as she entwined her fingers in the boys.

"Yes Tohru?" he said as he laid a gentle kiss upon her cheek.

"I-I lov…-" but she got cut off by the loud boom of thunder as it rolled through the night sky.

"You what, Tohru?" the boy persisted.

"Nothing…." She replied shyly, slipping out of the teens arms and attempting to walk over to the window, only to be stopped by the boys hand grasping her wrist.

"Tohru, I love you." The words left his lips and lingered in the air for what seemed an eternity before the girl responded.

"I love you as well Yuki-kun…" A deep blush engulfed her and the boy pulled her into a deep embrace.

"Yuki-kun," she said with surprise as the realization of something hit her.

"Yes, Tohru?" he replied calmly.

"You've been calling me by my first name." She exclaimed with a smile dancing on her lips.

"And Ive waited to do so for the longest time, My princess, Tohru." And with that he kissed her on the lips gently, caressing her cheek with his hand softly, and they stood there, the wind blowing through the window and continuing to make the fabric of their clothing dance in a forgotten waltz.
