I am starting another story with my 3 favorite jounin :) Ibiki Morino, Iruka Umino and Hatake Kakashi.
I like them, this is a personal preference and if you don't like them, simply don't read this.
There will be suggestions later on, but nothing explicit.
This first chapter is short, I know, but I will try to improve the word count.
Enjoy reading and if you enjoyed it, please let me know.
Ibiki looks at the paper in front of him. There is nothing special about it. It is just a normal piece of paper, written by the Hokage, who has a twisted mind.
Usually, Ibiki writes his reports and then simply gives them to an assistant. But now, the Hokage wants him to write his reports and hand them in personally. But not to her, no...
He has to deliver them to Umino. Personally.
Ibiki sighs, rubs his forehead and sighs again. Why would the Hokage want him to go an extra mile?
He shrugs it of and grabs his pencil, writing the last words on the reports. He better hand it in now, while he still is hungry. That way, after delivering it, he can grab something to eat.
Kakashi looks at the paper in his hands. Why the Hokage felt the need to write him this, goes beyond him. He finds it quite... what is the word? Laughable.
He laughs and stretches, his body hanging from a tree branch. The winds goes through his hair and he laughs again. That Hokage, with a twisted mind. She sure is strange.
He always writes his reports, and he always delivers them to the Mission Assignment Desk. Now he also has to deliver them to one person only, Umino Iruka.
Kakashi looks up from his paper and glaces towards the window below him. He can see the man whose name is written on the paper in his hand. He shakes his head, sits upright before moving out of the tree. He better deliver his report, before someone shows his temper.
He had expected a lot of things. People who are afraid of him. People who walk away from him. People with fear in their eyes when seeing him. A lot of things.
But not a smile.
Not a brilliant smile, radiating through the room.
He coughs, lays his paper down and points at it.
Umino nods, grabs it and looks at it.
"It looks good Morino-san." He says. He smiles again at Ibiki, before stamping the report. "Thank you for your hard work." The smile is still there. Those lips are still curved.
Ibiki is baffled by it, but he doesn't show it. Perhaps the Hokage would want him to know that there are still people around who don't care for looks.
He nods back at Umino and turns around, walking straight into Hatake.
Kakashi thought that Morino would've sensed him. But he didn't. So when the man turned around and walked straight into him, Kakashi stood still. When Ibiki's body touched his, Kakashi tensed up. Not so much, but he did.
When Ibiki's eyes meet his, Kakashi is stunned by the closeness of Ibiki's face. He takes a step to the side and nods at the head of interrogation. Then he walks towards Iruka, handing the report in.
"Great, thank you Hatake-san." Iruka says. "Thank you for your hard work." A smile is present on the man's face and inwardly, Kakashi returns the smile. Outwardly, he simply nods and turns around.
As he walks away, he wonders. Why did his body freeze up after touching Ibiki's? Was that a good thing?
And why didn't Ibiki sense him? Is something wrong with the head of Interrogation?
