How to Train Your Alchemist

"Not long ago, there were two young prodigies from two completely different worlds. One was a human boy, acknowledged by all, thriving to bring back his dead mother. The other, a Night fury, unmatched in talent by his peers, yet they still thought they were better than him. One day, the destines of these two prodigies intertwined, brought together by the mistake of the human, changing their lives forever when they met. When they met, it was hard for them to get along, but later on, they formed a bond that would last forever. They stuck together, helping each other and protecting each other, nothing could tear them apart. Or so they thought. It was when they thought life couldn't get better that the human was sent back to his own world, it was time for him to face the consequences of his actions. Both prodigies lost a friend that day, but that wasn't the only thing that the human lost, he also lost his arm and leg, he almost lost his younger brother. As the years went by, the two went down different paths, one becoming a dog of the military and helper of the people. The other had soon become an outcast among his species, being insulted and hated for ever befriending a human until one day; he couldn't take it anymore and left, choosing to travel alone, occasionally joining dragon raids against the Vikings. But no matter what they go through, they will never forget the other, nor will they forget the time they spent together. That is the story of the Night fury and the Alchemist" The elder told, most of the children not listening; only two were listening attentively the entire time.

"But wouldn't the dragon deserve it, it is a dragon after all" The blonde girl frowned.

"No creature deserves to go through the pain those two went through, not even a dragon" The elder sighed.

"Will they ever meet again" The brunette boy asked hopefully, holding his breath.

"We might never know" The elder shrugged, smiling at the intelligent little boy. The boy sighed, disappointed that he didn't find out.

"Well I'll find out one day, or my name isn't Hiccup Horrendous Haggis the third" The young boy stated proudly, puffing out his chest.

"Maybe one day you will, one day" The elder chuckled, ruffling Hiccup's hair.

How was that for a prologue?
