Disclaimer: I do not own anything that the brilliant J.K. Rowling has created (except for Anica and Aidan, and this plot), but I wish I was that brilliant 3

Prologue: Transfers

The wind pushed against her window and what seemed in attempt to come inside the warm house. She rolled over in her bed when the door knocked suddenly. She sat up in confusion as she shook her head.

She slowly walked to the door, still half asleep. She opened it slightly, only peering out from the crack of the door.

"What is it?" She asked groggily, the sleep still clearly in her throat.

"Anica, mum wants to talk to us. She told us to come downstairs." Her twin brother told her, as he turned to the stairs, leaving behind him a confused and half asleep Anica.

Anica nodded; she walked from her door to the desk in the corner, lifting off the housecoat from the chair she put it on and hurriedly walked down the stairs to find her mother, father and brother sitting in the living room, all of them looking up at her when she came down.

"What's going on?" Anica asked, "It's early in the morning, clearly there is something you want to talk about, otherwise you would have let us sleep in." She said making her way to the couch in front of her parents.

"Clearly," her brother agreed shuffling to sit beside his sister.

Her mother sighed as she brought her hands on her lap. "Anica, Aidan." She started. "We've just received letters from Hogwarts." She smiled slightly, her excitement radiating off of her.

Her children stared at her blankly, looked at each other then at their mother.

"And this means what to us?" Aidan bluntly asked.

Their mother's smile only went wider showing her pearly whites. "What this means to you is," She said moving to face her children.

"You'll soon be transferring to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." Anica's father finished.

Anica and Aidan's mouth dropped open in shock.

"Transferring, as in attending another school?" Anica spoke, her words barely audible, even to her own ears.

"But why tell us now, why not later when we're actually awake?" Aidan rubbed his eyes and yawned.

"Because you have to go to school earlier to get your things all ready in you rooms," their mother answered and smiled.

"Our rooms," the twins said in unison, "right."

"Well, you better pack your bags we arrive in London by floo powder at 2 o'clock, on the dot. Don't be late." Their mother said getting up, shooing them off the couch and upstairs to their rooms.

"Can you really believe they want us to go there?" Anica asked her brother when she reached her door; she put her hand on the handle and glanced at her brother.

"Sort of," Aidan answered, "I mean, they went there, didn't they?"

Anica nodded. "I guess I can see why, but I liked it when they home-schooled us, you know?" She asked her brother.

"I liked it, too, Anica." He looked through his open door. "I guess mum and dad want us to see what it's like to actually go to a school, even if it is Hogwarts." He smiled as he looked back at his twin sister.

Anica returned his smile. "Well, anything for mum and dad, I guess." She opened her door, just as she was about to walk in she turned and waved at her brother. "I guess I'll see you soon." She smiled as she closed her door.

Aidan watched his sister walk into her room and he did the same. "I hope something good comes out of this." He sighed as he strolled to his dresser and began to pack his bags.

I hope it is good so far, I know it's so short, but it's just the prologue so suck it up. Give me some credit it's my first fanfic, alright? I'll try update when I can, so if you could, please, please, please review. Thank you 3
