Disclaimer: I do not own Death Note or Peter Pan. Seeing as everyone tends to make Roger out as a bad guy, I made him a nice one, so ha, author's privileges. xD

The little blond boy holds the large book to his chest, his big blue eyes peek around the corner as he turns to go down a different hallway. His small fingers grip onto the sides of the book, almost protectively. This is his book and he wants to treat it well. The blond arrives at a large oak door where he knocks gently. The engraved wood hurts to knock on, but he'll be fine.

As the door opens the little three year old boy shuffles backwards, craning his neck to look up at the middle-aged man, Roger. The older man gives the blond a warm smile and crouches down to be eye level with him, "Yes, little one?" he says. The small child holds up the book to Roger and says very softly, "Night night story, please."

Roger smiles at this and carefully picks the boy up and holds him gently in his arms, carrying him into the room and shutting the door behind them. The grey haired man then sits down in his red velvet chair and seats the boy onto his lap, teasingly taking the book but looking at it upside down, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Hmm, well, Mihael. Look at this!", the caretaker gestures to the book. "These words are upside down!" The blond giggles softly at this and shakes his head, his blond hair whipping gently around his face with the motion. "Silly Roger." he says, and turns the book around the correct way, snuggling up to Roger's chest. The older man smiles at this and then turns his attention to the book."Ah." Roger says, as he looks at the cover of the book the little one has brought to him.

"Peter Pan again, Mihael?"

The blond looks up to the man with big eyes, Peter Pan is his favorite story and he has Roger read it to him all the time. The older man smiles down at Mihael gently and turns to the correct page in the book and begins to read, "All children, except one, grow up"...
