Disclaimer: Neither Smallville or The Vampire Diaries are in any way mine. I'm just borrowing a couple of the characters.
A/N: The timelines here don't quite match, I know. For the sake of argument (and the story) let's just say that the 2nd to 3rd season of Smallville was happening at around the same time as the 4th season of The Vampire Diaries. On with the story!
Coffee, Pretty Girls & Fast Cars
"I don't think I've ever seen you around here before," the waitress said, placing his deliciously foamy drink down in front of him.
Kol smiled up at her . "That's because I'm just passing through on my way to visit my sister."
"Ah. Well how do you like Smallville?" the girl asked, returning his smile.
She really was quite beautiful and Kol allowed his eyes to linger briefly on her neck, the thrumming steady pulse there. "A few too many cows for my taste to be honest," he told her, winking roguishly and she laughed.
"Your honesty is refreshing," she remarked, her eyes amused.
Kol grinned lazily up at her and considered the merits of compelling her into the back room and treating himself to a little snack. "What's your name, darling?"
"Lana," the girl told him, still smiling.
"Lana," Kol repeated, getting to his feet and taking her hand. "I'm Kol Mikaelson," he murmured, placing a kiss gently on her hand.
"Kol. Well I hope you've enjoyed your time at The Talon, at least, even if the town is too cow infested for you," Lana said warmly, smiling one last time before turning to her other customers.
"Oh, I have," Kol murmured as he watched her go. He would let her live, he decided. Wouldn't even taste her. The people in this town had a strange taste, anyway. One he couldn't quite put his finger on. It was... intriguing, if not entirely pleasant on his tongue. There had to be a reason for it.
Picking up his coffee Kol turned to leave.
Perhaps, once he was finished with whatever Rebekah needed help with in Mystic Falls, he would come back and figure it out.
Outside of The Talon a bald man in a suit was exiting a Porsche and Kol grinned. "You want to give me your car," he told him, staring into the young man's eyes, and immediately Baldie's eyes glazed over.
"Why don't you take my car?" he asked obligingly, holding out his keys to the Original.
"That's very generous of you, I don't mind if I do," Kol agreed, plucking the keys out of the unresisting young man's hands.
Oh yeah, he was definitely going to come back here.
-End.
A/N: I just couldn't resist throwing Lex in there at the end, lol! Tell me what you think!
