I'm With Crazy

Prologue

TIME: July 15, 2009, 21:00 EST

LOCATION: Boston, Massachusetts

It was cloudy night in the Greater Boston area, with the ongoing threat of a thunderstorm. On the outer edges of the city stood a rather plain house stood in a rather plain neighborhood. What wasn't plain, however, was the dim lights of the house's basement repeatedly flickering.

"MWAHAHAHAHA!" A silhouetted figure laughed manically as lights flashed on and off. She held her hands out to grasp the machinery. "Soon, it will be complete!"

DING DONG.

"Oh crap."

The lights stopped flickering as they were switched on to their high setting, revealing the figure as a mere girl in her mid-teens, her tangled auburn grey and wild grey eyes rather foreboding.

"I'm coming!" The teen girl rushed down the hall of the otherwise empty house before sliding to a stop at the front door.

DING DONG.

"I'm here!" She wielded a sharp number 2 pencil from her shirt pocket. If it's a salesman, I'm going to stab him.

She flung the door open. "I'LL STAB YO...u…"

Her voice trailed away. Instead of a salesman, two of her neighbors were standing there. Well to be accurate, one was standing while the other hid behind them.

"Hi Clarissa." The one not cowering said, with no visible emotion and an air of reluctance.

"Oh, it's you two," Clarissa snorted and rolled her eyes.

The 'two' in question were her neighbors, Zachary and Stella. The African American Zachary raised his eyebrows at Stella, who only now emerged from her hiding place. Like her name suggested, she was your typical star; her platinum blond hair and pale green eyes in stark contrast to the night sky outside.

"'You two?'" Stella spoke up. "Gee, thanks! You know, the way you're always cooped up, you should be grateful for any human interaction."

Dammit! I should've stabbed them while I had the chance." So what do you two want?"

"Our parents asked us to go check out what was going on over here."

"Why?" Clarissa scratched her skull, only to have her fingers get caught in her hair.

Zachary grimaced. "Maybe it was the lights flickering on and off for the last few hours, or how about that crazy laughing we heard that sounded a lot like yours."

Clarissa deadpanned. Of course, only when she was being annoying did the neighbors ever check up. She suddenly realized something though. "Wait," she jabbed her finger at Stella. "Don't you live all the way down the street?"

Stella whacked the finger away. "First of all, that's rude. Second, yes. Your point?"

"My point is that they couldn't have seen my lights flickering on and off, and wouldn't have sent you."

"That's because Zach's mom is having her birthday."

"It's her 50th so all her friends came over," explained Zachary. "Stella was dragged along with her parents. We were bored so they said that since we weren't doing anything better, we should go check over here."

Clarissa crossed her arms "Well then you should be thanking me for getting you out of such a crappy party. Sounds like a bunch of adults getting drunk over the fact that they're slowly turning to dust."

"Those are our parents, bitch!" Stella exclaimed.

Zachary ignored (or diverted) the impending argument. "Speaking of parents…" he glanced behind Clarissa. "Where's yours?"

Clarissa sighed. "Mom's on some business venture in New York and won't be back till' tomorrow night. Dad was supposed to be home tomorrow morning, but his flight got postponed because of forest fires by Vancouver or something like that. I don't know when he'll be back."

"So you're by yourself for how long?" he asked.

"It's been two days already, so it'll be three if mom gets home on time."

Stella whistled. "Wow, wish my parents would leave me alone for that long, I don't think I've ever been at home alone for more than five hours."

Clarissa reached for the door handle. "Yeah well, as fun as it's been talking to you, you should probably get back to that party."

Before the door could close all the way however, Zach put his foot in the way and wedged the door back open. "Wait a sec. We still want to know what that flickering lights and evil laughing was about."

Clarissa began to fidget. "Well um…" Think fast, Clarissa. "I was kinda…" The two teens raised their eyebrows. "I was watching a horror movie and I decided to add to the ambiance!" she blurted out. Clarissa, you're a genius!

"Okay whatever." Stella shrugged.

Score!

Zach nodded. "If that's all, we'll be headed back to the party."

Clarissa began to shove the two out the door. "Okay well don't let me keep you waiting, see ya." She slammed the door behind them.

The two glanced at each other as they made their way across the street. "You didn't actually believe that bullcrap right?"

Zach grinned "Nah, but I figure if it's important, we'll find out sooner or later."

Stella shrugged as they made their way up Zach's front steps. "Guess you're right."

Clarissa made her way back to the room. Thank god those idiots are gone. She sighed with relief.

She began to grin madly as she looked at the machinery taking up most of the room. What was not taken up by the machines was mainly novelties and drawings on a certain subject, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!

"And soon, with the help of this portal generator –" Clarissa took up position in front of the largest machine, something that looked a lot like something from Stargate, if the Stargate was thrown together using household appliances. "I shall cross over into their world! Now for my obligatory insane laughter. MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA – COUGH, COUGH! Man, I should dust this place. Now where was I? MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…!"

Unbeknownst to Clarissa, her laughter could be heard across the street where Zach and Stella were both thinking the same thing as they tried to enjoy dessert. Psycho.

Meanwhile in Shuggazoom…

"AHHHHHHHHH!"

"Chiro, What's wrong?" Gibson shouted.

Chiro stopped screaming and began to breathe deeply. He looked around the room to see the entire team staring at him.

"Where am I?"

"Ya fell asleep in the lounge kid, don't you remember?" Sprx knocked on Chiro's head.

"Oh yeah." Chiro glanced around as he remembered that he had, in fact, taken a nap on the couch.

"Did you have a nightmare Chiro?" Otto asked. "Was it really scary?"

Chiro scratched his head, trying to remember. "Yeah I think so, but I don't remember what it was about really; all I remember is some crazy girl laughing."

Nova frowned. "Was it Valina?"

"No, it was someone my age I think. It didn't sound like her. I can't remember anything else."

"If you cannot remember, it probably was not important," said Antauri.

Chiro got up and stretched. "Yeah, you're probably right Antauri."

Little did any of the team know, how wrong they were…
