Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Sunako is on another chocolate crusade while the boys are hiding in the basement as the house gets filled with chocolate. However, Kyouhei orders Sunako to make him chocolate, promising to give her something cool on white day if she does.
Story 3
Valentine's Day, My Love
Little by little, the chocolate piled up. It was driving Sunako crazy! All that chocolate waiting to be eaten and she wasn't there to swipe it.
"I hope this ends soon," Yuki said. They had rations down there, plus a lamp, but it wasn't that much of a light, so they were all gathered around it. Noi, Tomao, and Machiko were allowed to spend the night on the thirteenth of February so that Ranmaru, Takenaga, and Yuki could have their girls with them at least for a little while.
Kyouhei glanced at Sunako and shivered. She was crying. Not because they were in the basement, surely. She loved it down here.
"What's wrong, Sunako-chan?" Machiko asked.
"All that chocolate…"
"You can have it," the boys chorused.
"But you'll have to wait until later tonight. According to my watch," Takenaga said, pressing a button to make it glow. "It's still another five hours until dusk. You'll just have to hold tight until then."
"But you three got chocolate from Noi, Machiko, and Tomao," Sunako sobbed. "And I don't see why I can't go up and grab one of your other packages."
"It's too dangerous Sunako, remember the last time, you tried to take the chocolate? They ravaged you with a dead tree!"
"It's worth the risk!" Sunako sobbed.
"Fine," Kyouhei said. The others looked at him in shock. "You can have all of my chocolate if…"
"If?" Sunako pressed.
"You make me some of your own."
"Kyouhei!" Noi scolded.
"That's mean! How can you do that to Sunako-chan!" Yuki shouted.
"Bastard!" Ranmaru hissed.
"Idiot glutton!" Noi shouted.
"And you call yourself a man!" Yuki added.
"I'll do it!" Sunako shouted. The others passed out. "But you better give me every last morsel you've received."
"They will be delivered to your room in a cute pink ribbon," Kyouhei promised, leading her to the exit. "I want strawberries with my chocolate too."
"Agreed," Sunako said, shaking Kyouhei's hand in an American business like manner. She crawled up to the kitchen like a cockroach and, after making sure that the windows were covered, began to make the chocolate she promised Kyouhei. Once the chocolate was a sauce, she began to cut up some strawberries into small slices and finished the rich chocolate cake that she was going to present to Kyouhei when it was done.
She slobbered and reminded herself that this was Kyouhei's chocolate. Looking around, she spotted a box of chocolate in the doorway and sneakily crawled to it. It was going to be a while until the cake would be completely baked, so as the frosting was waiting, she grabbed the chocolate and ripped the package open, nibbling blissfully on the chocolate.
An hour passed and sadly, Sunako's appetite was whetted now that she tasted a small morsel of chocolate. It was everything she could do not to eat the chocolate she made for Kyouhei, she grabbed the next nearest box and ate that one to.
Finally the cake was finished. She grabbed three more boxes, not caring who they belonged to and headed downstairs to the basement.
"Here you are, Kyouhei," she said, handing him the small chocolate-strawberry cake. Kyouhei ate it happily and smirked. "The chocolate's yours."
Sunako squealed and went into a giggle fit over in the corner, nibbling the chocolate she was able to swipe.
Valentine's Day was not her favorite holiday, but it had its gives.
