Sammy brought her grandma's birthday cake into the dining room and placed it on the table.

"Make your wish," Sammy smiled.

"I wish you'd join a choir."

Grandma Amy smiled as she took a bite out of her cake.

"If I had a voice like Sammy's, I'd be a superstar!"

Sammy blushed lightly.

Meet Sammy

Sammy was watering plants in the kitchen while listening to music on her earbuds.

She felt a tap on her shoulder and turned her head to see her mom and grandma smiling brightly as Amy held up a flyer.

SINGING COMPETITION AUDITIONS

The Winner Will Receive

The Grand Prize Of

$100,000

Sammy gasped as she finished reading the flyer.

"How would you like to audition for the show?," Don asked.

"I just, get so scared," Sammy rubbed her arm nervously.

Sammy walked onstage and accidentally knocked over the microphone stand.

She stood it back up and held it tightly as she started to hyperventilate onstage, trying desperately to make words come out of her mouth.

"Ahem."

She turned her head and saw Alejandro standing next to her, crossing his arms impatiently.

"I believe that's enough of that. Off the stage, please."

Sammy turned around and sadly walked off the stage.

"Such a useless act."

When Sammy arrived home that night, she saw several people standing in front of the house holding up banners and balloons.

"Are you in the show?!," Amy asked excitedly.

After walking out of the theater, Sammy kicked a tree in frustration, only for a birds nest to fall on her head.

Sammy sat on the couch and cried softly as her mother wiped her tears.

To Conquer Her Fear

"Mr. Adora?"

Sammy approached Don with a cake box.

"I was wondering if you'd give me a second chance?"

Don took Sammy backstage and sat her down on a trunk of props.

"Do you love to sing?"

"Of course I do," Sammy smiled.

She Must Find Her Voice

"Face this head on, Sammy."

Sammy walked onstage and looked at the audience, then she looked backstage at the others.

"You will not feel afraid if you just sing," Don smiled.

Sammy grabbed the microphone and started singing, her fear gone with the wind.

Her family smiled as they watched in the audience.

"Wow!," Don smiled.

"You better be ready to work harder than you've ever worked in your lives!"

Mike ran his fingers along the piano keys.

Sammy Andrews

Sammy smiled as she danced onstage, singing her heart out.

Devin and the kids watched in amazement as Carrie danced onstage.

Sammy's mother hugged her tightly.

The audience cheered as Gwen played her guitar.

Jacques threw Carrie up in the air and caught her.

Sing

Aaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Sammy hit a high note just as the backdrop collapsed.

She immediately stopped and looked behind her as the audience went crazy.

Even Don and the other contestants were cheering from backstage.

Sammy looked around her, shrugged, and continued her song.
