"I can SEE you eyeing her." Emmett interrupted Benny's thoughts.
Benny blinked back into reality. "I-I don't know what you're talking about!"
Emmett scoffed. "As If." He gasped, and smiled deviously. "Ohhh, I know what this is. You like Unikitty!" Benny blushed a bright crimson. "Um... Well, I-I" he stammered. "It's stupid. I know."
"It's not."
"What?"
"I don't think it's stupid."
"...You don't?"
Emmett laughed. "Hah, nope. Why don't you tell her?" "Are you serious?! Why would I do that?!" Benny whisper-screamed. "What do you have to lose?" Questioned Emmett.
"My dignity." Replied Benny, with a hint of self-pity in his voice.
"...And what do you have to gain?"
Benny smiled and looked down "You're right. I'm gonna tell her."
"'Atta boy. Emmett patted Benny on the back. "Go get her.
Benny walked over to where Lucy and Unikitty were talking.
"Um, Lucy can I talk to Unikitty alone for just a second?"
"Sure," she responded without hesitation. She proceeded to walk in Emmett's direction.
"What'd you want to talk to me about?" Unikitty cocked her head to the side in confusion.
"Lets go somewhere where we won't be disturbed." Benny gestured towards the back door. Nobody ever goes NEAR the back door, despite there being nothing wrong with the back way out.
"Um, okay."
Benny's face was red hot.
'What if she doesn't like me back? What if she never speaks to me again?' He shook the bad thoughts away.
"We're friends, right?"
"Of course!" She exclaimed.
Her grin- There was just something about that smile that made his heart flutter- had turned into a confused gaze. Without words, she urged him to go on.
"I... I..." He stared into her deep blue eyes. They were like looking into the cloudless sky on a summer morning. They were breathtaking.
His face glowed a bright red.
"I'm in love with you." 'There, I said it. Emmett can die happy now.'
A blush spread across Unikittys face. "Oh, Benny..." She trailed off. She could feel her heart pounding in her throat.
Before he had time to think, Unikitty had hugged him. He wrapped his arms around her neck.
"I'm in love with you too." He heard her say, barely above a whisper.
