A/N: Obviously about Roy's past drug addiction. He was the one that inspired me to write this poem.
And Sixx: A.M's "Live Forever" inspired this, too.
Note: I'll make sure to update my other fics A.S.A.P.
The first step is holding on,
Chilling, exhilarating at the start.
A temporary sort of satisfaction,
Altering your perception of life in a blink of an eye.
Enjoy the ride while it lasts.
Pay attention to your surroundings,
Look at the way your mind reacts to an object set in static, moving with an unnatural, uncanny ability intensifying every time you stare. Does it scare you?
Pray tell, child!
You want to outrun your problems?
This isn't the answer.
You broadcast your emotions so easily,
You're not a mastermind.
You were an idol to them.
They weren't oblivious to what you tried to hide from them in plain sight.
You think your problems would be camouflaged with a fictitious personality?
They read you like a book, saw through the lies, found the clause within. Admit it, you had a hard time putting up your disguise.
You have to let go & ignore the pressure.
Catch yourself before you fall, don't let them drag you down.
When you hit rock bottom,
You won't hear a sound.
Wake up and snap out of this delusion.
Prioritize what's respectable to society, friends and family.
Remember that you have a life to live.
Are you lost in sin?
They need a hero, not a prodigal son that wastes their time.
Thousands lost their lives.
Did they have a choice, or a voice to be heard?
Don't subject to the tip of the syringe,
Will you promise me this won't be the end?
